6. Maintenance

6.1 General Care

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust and moisture. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • The full silicone sheath provides protection; however, avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.

6.2 Battery Care

  • Charge the device regularly, especially if it will be stored for an extended period, to maintain battery health.
  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.

6.3 Firmware Updates

Periodically check the manufacturer's website for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features. Firmware updates can typically be performed via PC connection.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device does not power on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the USB-C cable to a power source and try again.
  • No waveform displayed:
    • Check probe connections to the device and the circuit under test.
    • Verify probe attenuation settings (1x/10x) match the device setting.
    • Adjust Voltage Scale and Time Base settings to match the expected signal.
    • Check trigger settings; try "Auto" trigger mode first.
    • Ensure the input signal is within the maximum input voltage limits.
  • Signal generator not producing output:
    • Ensure the alligator clip probe is correctly connected.
    • Verify frequency and amplitude settings are appropriate for your test.
    • Check if the signal generator function is enabled.
  • Touchscreen unresponsive: Ensure the screen is clean and dry. If the issue persists, try restarting the device.
  • PC connection issues: Ensure the USB Type-C cable is securely connected. Try a different USB port on your computer.

9. User Tips

  • Probe Calibration: For accurate measurements, especially with 10X probes, ensure your probes are properly compensated. Most oscilloscopes have a square wave output for this purpose.
  • Grounding: Always ensure proper grounding of your oscilloscope and the circuit under test to avoid noise and ensure safety.
  • Start Simple: When troubleshooting a circuit, start with simple signals (like a sine wave from the built-in generator) to verify the oscilloscope's functionality before moving to complex signals.
  • Screen Protector: While the screen is resistive touch, a screen protector can help prevent scratches during field use.
