1. Introduction

The FUTABA T6PV is a high-performance 6-channel remote control system designed for various RC applications, including model cars, boats, and drones. This mid-high class transmitter incorporates advanced features from the T10PX, offering intuitive operation through its full-color display. It supports the ultra-fast "F-4G" system, enhancing operational stability and responsiveness. The T6PV is compatible with multiple communication systems: F-4G, T-FHSS, S-FHSS, and MINI-Z. The included R404SBS and R404SBS-E receivers are specifically designed for the F-4G system.

Important Note: The T6PV display is not a touch screen. Batteries are not included with the set.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation and Charging

The T6PV transmitter operates on 5 dry cell batteries (not included). It also supports various LiFe batteries. Ensure you use compatible batteries as listed in the specifications.

  • For optional LT2F2000B LiFe batteries, they can be charged by removing the rubber cover located next to the battery compartment.
  • The system supports the non-contact charger LF-02 for LiFe batteries.

4.2 MicroSD Card Installation

The T6PV features a microSD card slot (microSD card sold separately) for:

  • Saving model data and two-way communication data.
  • Storing remote control setting photos.
  • Performing software updates.

Ensure the microSD card is compatible (supports SD/SDHC, not SDXC) and insert it carefully into the designated slot.

4.3 Handwheel and Grip Adjustment

The transmitter comes standard with a size M rubber grip. You can purchase and replace it with size S or L grips for personalized comfort.

  • Utilize the included APA-M wheel position change adapter, 32° wheel adapter, 5° angle spacer, and large diameter steering wheel to customize the handwheel assembly and angle adjustment.
  • The handwheel slot position can be adjusted using the APA adapter provided with the suit.

5. Operation

The T6PV features a full-color display and jog buttons for intuitive operation. Navigate through the menus to configure your remote control settings.

5.1 Model Menu

This menu allows management of your RC models.

  • Model Selection: Choose from saved models.
  • Model Reproduction: Duplicate existing model settings.
  • Model Name: Assign or change names for your models.
  • Delete Model: Remove model data (stored on SD card).
  • Data Reset: Reset model settings to default.
  • Model Type: Select initial settings suitable for different model types (Standard, 1/5 (large), Drift).

5.2 Accessory Menu

Configure various auxiliary functions and settings.

  • Timer: Options include timing, fuel countdown timer, circle counting timer, and circle number navigation timer. A list of circle speeds can be recorded and viewed.
  • S.BUS Servo: Special function for changing FUTABA S.BUS/S.BUS2 servo parameters.
  • UR Servo Setting: Configure Ultra Response servo settings.
  • ESC Connection: Set up digital speed regulators (ESC).
  • Gyroscope Connection: Configure gyroscope settings.
  • Index Table: Suitable for displaying an index table for 1:12 flat road vehicles.
  • Gear Ratio List: Displays the final reduction ratio based on input main gear and secondary deceleration ratio.
  • End/Dir Button Setting: Customize shortcut keys for commonly used menu functions.
  • Main Page Setting: Customize content displayed on the main screen.
  • User Menu: Create and edit a shortcut menu with frequently used functions.
  • Warning Display: Configure alarms for low battery, power not turned off, and mix (mixed) warnings.

5.3 System Menu

Manage general system settings and updates.

  • Display Settings: Adjust backlight brightness and dimming time.
  • System Information: View user name, display language, and two-way communication status.
  • Beeper: Adjust switch, fine adjustment, and jog button operating tones, as well as alarm sounds.
  • Battery Setting: Adjust low voltage alarm voltage by setting the battery type.
  • Total Timing: Display cumulative power-on time on the main screen.
  • LED Settings: Configure indicator light brightness and lighting mode (always on, off, or linked with backlight).
  • Adjustment: Correct the neutral slot position and motion angle of the steering and throttle trigger.
  • Receiver Update: Update receiver firmware directly through the transmitter.

5.4 Function Introduction (General Settings)

This section covers various functional adjustments for precise control.

  • Servo Preview: View the cabin action of all channels and confirm action when adjusting rudder angle and hybrid function.
  • Throttle Mode: Set braking application when the throttle trigger is in a neutral slot position.
  • Reverse: Set steering, throttle, 3/4 channel, and action direction when the hatchet is controlled.
  • Auxiliary Fine-tuning: Fine-tune the reference center slot of the cabin hatch during model assembly.
  • Wall Measures: Adjust the connecting rod, set movement amounts for steering left/right rudder angles, throttle high slots/brake sides, and upper/lower movements of the 3/4 channel and other spare channels.
  • Full-Control Protection: When the receiver loses the remote control signal or battery voltage drops, the system sets the action slot position of the cabin. When the signal reconnects, the out-of-control protection, lock, and off mode will automatically release.
  • Acceleration: Adjust response characteristics of throttle forward/brake separately in the neutral area.
  • Fine-tuning/Button Settings: Configure functions for digital fine-tuning (DT1-DT6) and knob (DL1).
  • Switch Setting: Choose and set functions and operating methods for key switches (SW1-SW3).
  • Idle Speed Adjustment: Improve engine starting performance for GP cars/boats. Ensure ESC is identified and neutral slot setting is correct for this function.
  • Engine Flameout: Move the throttle hatcher to the preset slot setting to shut down the engine.
  • Reaction Speed: Adjust steering gear response for softer or more aggressive control.

5.5 Care Menu (Racing Settings)

  • Curve (EXP): Independently set the response curve for steering, throttle, and brake.
  • Speed: Independently set the speed characteristics of steering and throttle.
  • Traction Control: Achieve smooth control by intermittent throttle action, driving at the ideal route. Simulate engine sound for speed limiters in drift cars.
  • A.B.S.: In 4WD vehicles, ABS prevents insufficient steering during braking in curves.
  • Start: Gently pull the throttle trigger; the system automatically switches to preset slot settings for smooth starts.
  • Engine Flameout: Move the throttle hatcher to the preset slot setting to realize engine shutdown.
  • Reaction Speed: Adjust steering gear response for softer or more aggressive control.
