FG-300 DDS Signal Generator Instruction Manual

Model: FG-300

Introduction

The FG-300 is a versatile, high-precision, portable DDS (Direct Digital Synthesis) signal generator designed for various applications including electronic research and development, production testing, education, and audio testing. It is capable of generating a wide range of waveforms with high frequency stability and resolution.

One of its key features is the generation of 7.83Hz Schumann waveforms. The Schumann resonances (SR) are a set of spectrum peaks in the extremely low frequency (ELF) portion of the Earth's electromagnetic field spectrum. These global electromagnetic resonances are generated by lightning discharges in the cavity formed by the Earth's surface and the ionosphere. Variations in these resonances correspond to changes in seasons, solar activity, Earth's magnetic environment, and other Earth-bound phenomena.

4. Setting Timed Shutdown and Brightness

The FG-300 offers customizable settings for convenience:

  • Timed Shutdown: Use the "Timed shutdown" button to set the number of hours after which the device will automatically power off.
  • Screen Brightness: Adjust the display brightness using the "Screen brightness" button.
  • Signal Lamp Brightness: Control the brightness of the signal indicator lights with the "Signal LED brightness" button.

All setting parameters are automatically saved and will be retained the next time the device is powered on.

Maintenance

1. General Care

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Do not drop or subject the device to strong impacts.

2. Battery Care (if applicable)

If your FG-300 model includes a built-in 1000mAh lithium battery:

  • Charge the battery using the USB-TYPE C charging port.
  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
  • If storing the device for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% before storage.
