  • Keyless Chuck (3/8" MAX): For quick and easy bit changes.
  • Torque Adjustment Ring: Adjusts the clutch setting for different applications.
  • Two-speed Gear Control Switch: Selects between low and high-speed ranges.
  • Forward/Reverse Button: Controls the direction of rotation.
  • Trigger Switch: Activates the drill and controls speed.
  • LED Light: Illuminates the work area.
  • Battery Pack: Provides power to the drill.
  • Battery Charging Port: For connecting the charger to the battery.

Setup

1. Charging the Battery

  1. Ensure the battery pack is securely inserted into the charger.
  2. Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Allow the battery to charge fully before first use. The charging indicator light on the charger will typically change color or turn off when charging is complete.

2. Installing/Removing the Battery Pack

  • To Install: Align the battery pack with the base of the drill handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
  • To Remove: Press the battery release button (usually located on the side of the battery pack) and slide the battery out of the handle.

3. Installing/Removing Drill Bits or Screwdriver Bits

  1. Ensure the drill is off and the forward/reverse button is in the center (locked) position to prevent accidental starting.
  2. Grip the rear half of the keyless chuck and rotate the front half counter-clockwise until the chuck jaws are open wide enough to insert the bit.
  3. Insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck. Ensure the bit is centered.
  4. Rotate the front half of the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws firmly around the bit. Hand-tighten only; do not use tools to tighten the chuck.
  5. To remove a bit, reverse the process: rotate the front half counter-clockwise to loosen and pull the bit out.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off and Speed Control

  • To turn the drill ON, press the trigger switch. The speed is variable; pressing the trigger further increases the speed.
  • To turn the drill OFF, release the trigger switch.

2. Two-Speed Gear Control

Image: Illustration of the two-speed gear control switch, indicating 0-1500 RPM for drilling and 0-400 RPM for screwdriving.

The drill features a two-speed gear control switch located on top of the drill body:

  • Position '1' (Low Speed): Provides 0-400 RPM, ideal for screwdriving applications and tasks requiring higher torque.
  • Position '2' (High Speed): Provides 0-1500 RPM, recommended for drilling into various materials.

Always select the appropriate speed range before starting your task. Do not change gears while the drill is running.

3. Torque Adjustment (18+2 Settings)

Image: Close-up of the drill's chuck area, showing the 18+2 torque adjustment ring, drilling and screwdriving icons, and the forward/reverse button. Max torque is 20Nm.

The torque adjustment ring allows you to select the amount of torque (rotational force) applied. This prevents over-driving screws or damaging the workpiece.

  • Settings 1-18: For screwdriving, with 1 being the lowest torque and 18 being the highest. Start with a lower setting and increase as needed.
  • Drilling Symbol: For drilling applications, the clutch is bypassed to provide maximum torque (20Nm).
  • Screwdriving Symbol: For general screwdriving, providing consistent torque.

4. Forward/Reverse Button

The forward/reverse button is located above the trigger switch. Push it to the left for forward rotation (for driving screws or drilling) and to the right for reverse rotation (for removing screws or backing out drill bits). When the button is in the center position, the trigger is locked, preventing accidental operation.

5. Built-in LED Light

The integrated LED light automatically activates when the trigger is pressed, illuminating your work area for improved visibility in dimly lit spaces.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the ventilation openings of the drill to prevent overheating. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the tool. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
