7. Operating the Inverter

Once installed and wired, the inverter can be configured and operated via its LCD display and buttons, or remotely via the SMARTESS app if the Wi-Fi module is installed.

7.1 Charging Modes

The inverter offers three distinct charging modes to suit various application requirements:

  1. Solar Energy Priority: Solar power is prioritized for charging batteries and powering loads. Utility or generator power is used only when solar is insufficient.
  2. Solar + Utility at the Same Time: Both solar and utility power are used concurrently to charge batteries and power loads.
  3. ONLY Solar Charge Batteries: Only solar power is used to charge the batteries.

7.2 Output Modes

The inverter provides two output modes to cover the electricity needs of a wide range of appliances:

  1. Solar Priority Output, then Utility: Solar power is prioritized for output. If solar power is insufficient, the inverter switches to utility power.
  2. Solar Priority Output, then Battery, finally Utility: Solar power is prioritized. If solar is insufficient, battery power is used. If both solar and battery are insufficient, the inverter switches to utility power.

8. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your inverter.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the inverter with a dry cloth. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris.
  • Connections: Annually check all electrical connections for tightness and signs of corrosion.
  • Environment: Ensure the operating environment remains within specified temperature and humidity ranges.
  • Battery Health: If using batteries, monitor their health and charge levels as recommended by the battery manufacturer.

9. Troubleshooting

This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter. For problems not listed here, please contact customer support.
