- Prepare Stand: Place the soldering iron into its designated stand. Ensure the cleaning sponge is moistened (if applicable) and the brass wool is in place for tip cleaning.
- Initial Power On: Flip the main power switch on the rear of the unit to the 'ON' position. The LCD screen will illuminate.
6. Operating Instructions
- Power On: After setup, turn on the main power switch. The station will boot up and display the current temperature settings.
- Temperature Adjustment:
- Use the 'CH1', 'CH2', 'CH3', 'CH4' buttons to quickly select preset temperature channels.
- To fine-tune the temperature, use the 'Up' and 'Down' arrow buttons. The selected channel's temperature will adjust accordingly.
- The screen will display the set temperature and the actual tip temperature.
- Sleep Mode: The station features an intelligent sleep mode. When the soldering iron is placed in its stand for a set period (configurable), it will automatically enter sleep mode, reducing the tip temperature to a safe level. This conserves energy and extends tip life.

7. Maintenance
- Tip Cleaning: Regularly clean the soldering tip using the provided brass wool or a damp sponge. This helps maintain optimal heat transfer and prevents oxidation.
- Tip Tinning: Always tin the tip with a small amount of solder before storing or when not in use for extended periods. This protects the tip from oxidation.
- Replacing Tips: Ensure the station is powered off and the tip has cooled down before attempting to replace it. Carefully pull out the old tip and insert the new one, ensuring it is fully seated.
- Station Cleaning: Wipe the station's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the screen free of dust and debris.
- Stand Maintenance: Keep the soldering iron stand clean and ensure the brass wool or sponge is replaced when worn out.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Station does not power on | Power cord not connected; Power switch off; Outlet issue | Check power cord connection; Ensure power switch is ON; Test power outlet |
| Soldering iron not heating | Handle not connected properly; Faulty tip; Station in sleep mode | Reconnect handle; Replace tip; Pick up iron from stand to wake |
| Temperature unstable/inaccurate | Dirty or oxidized tip; Loose tip connection; Environmental factors | Clean and tin tip; Ensure tip is fully seated; Operate in stable environment |
| Screen not displaying correctly | Software glitch; Loose internal connection | Power cycle the station; Contact support if issue persists |
9. User Tips
- Pre-tinning Wires: Always pre-tin wires and component leads before soldering them to a PCB for stronger, more reliable joints.
- Proper Tip Selection: Use the correct tip size and shape for the job. A larger tip retains heat better for larger pads, while a fine tip is essential for SMD components.
- Flux Usage: Apply flux to the joint before soldering to improve solder flow and prevent oxidation.
- Cleanliness is Key: A clean soldering tip is crucial for effective heat transfer. Clean your tip frequently during use.
