6. Setup and Installation
The Deye Hybrid Inverter must be installed by a certified electrician or qualified solar professional. Improper installation can lead to equipment damage, personal injury, or void the warranty.
6.1. Mounting Location
- Choose a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and flammable materials.
- Ensure the mounting surface can support the inverter's weight (approx. 17.6-19 kg).
- Maintain adequate clearance around the inverter for proper airflow and heat dissipation.
- Mount the inverter vertically using the provided wall mounting bracket and screws.
6.2. Electrical Connections
- PV Connection: Connect the solar PV strings to the designated DC+ and DC- terminals. Observe correct polarity and voltage limits.
- Battery Connection: Connect the battery bank to the battery terminals, ensuring correct polarity. The inverter supports Lead-acid or Lithium-ion batteries.
- AC Grid Connection: Connect the AC output to the main electrical panel or grid connection point.
- Load Connection: Connect critical loads to the inverter's load output terminals.
- Communication Connections: Connect the parallel communication cable, datalogger (if applicable), battery temperature sensor, and sensor clamp as per the system design. The inverter supports RS485/RS232/CAN communication interfaces.
Refer to the detailed wiring diagrams in the full product manual for specific connection instructions.
7. Operating Instructions
Once installed and all connections are verified, the inverter can be powered on.
7.1. Initial Startup
- Ensure all external DC and AC breakers are in the OFF position.
- Turn on the battery breaker.
- Turn on the PV array DC switch.
- Turn on the AC grid breaker.
- Observe the inverter's display for status indicators.

7.2. Monitoring
The inverter features a built-in display for real-time monitoring of system performance, including PV input, battery status, AC output, and fault codes. Optional dataloggers and monitoring modes (GPRS/WiFi/Bluetooth/4G/LAN) allow for remote monitoring and data logging.
8. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your inverter.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the inverter's exterior and ventilation openings to prevent dust accumulation, which can hinder natural cooling. Use a soft, dry cloth.
- Inspection: Annually inspect all electrical connections for tightness and signs of corrosion. Check cables for damage.
- Environment: Ensure the installation environment remains within the specified operating temperature and humidity ranges.
Always disconnect power before performing any maintenance.
9. Troubleshooting
This section provides general guidance for common issues. For complex problems, contact technical support.
9.1. No Power Output
- Check if all DC and AC breakers are in the ON position.
- Verify PV input voltage and current.
- Check battery voltage and connections.
- Inspect for any fault codes displayed on the inverter screen.
9.2. Inverter Not Charging Battery
