4. Setup

Before installing the motherboard, ensure your computer case is compatible with the M-ATX form factor and that you have a compatible power supply.

4.1 Component Installation

  1. CPU Installation:
    • Open the CPU socket lever.
    • Carefully align the CPU with the socket, ensuring the gold triangle on the CPU matches the marking on the socket.
    • Gently place the CPU into the socket. Do not force it.
    • Close the lever to secure the CPU.
    • Apply thermal paste and install the CPU cooler.
  2. Memory (RAM) Installation:
    • Open the clips on both ends of the DDR4 memory slots.
    • Align the memory module with the slot, ensuring the notch on the module matches the key in the slot.
    • Press down firmly on both ends of the memory module until the clips snap into place.
  3. Graphics Card (PCI-E X16) Installation:
    • Locate the PCI-E X16 slot.
    • Remove the corresponding expansion slot cover from your PC case.
    • Align the graphics card with the slot and press down firmly until it is seated correctly and the retention clip locks.
    • Secure the card with a screw to the case.
  4. Storage Devices (SATA & M.2 NVME):
    • SATA Drives: Connect SATA data cables from your SSD/HDD to the SATA3.0 ports on the motherboard. Connect power cables from your PSU to the drives.
    • M.2 NVME SSD: Insert the M.2 SSD into the M.2 slot at an angle, then push it down and secure it with the provided screw.

4.2 Power and Peripheral Connections

  1. Main Power Connector: Connect the 24-pin ATX power cable from your power supply to the 24-pin motherboard power supply connector.
  2. CPU Power Connector: Connect the 8-pin CPU power supply cable from your power supply to the 8-pin CPU power supply connector.
  3. Front Panel Connectors: Connect the power LED, power switch, reset switch, and HDD LED cables from your case to the corresponding pins on the front panel header (usually labeled F_PANEL). Pay close attention to polarity for LEDs.
  4. USB Headers: Connect front panel USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 cables to the respective USB headers on the motherboard.
  5. Audio Header: Connect the front panel audio cable to the F_AUDIO header.
  6. Fan Headers: Connect CPU fan to the CPU_FAN header and case fans to the SYS_FAN headers.
  7. Rear I/O Panel: Install the I/O shield into your case. Connect your monitor to the HDMI, DVI, or VGA port. Connect USB peripherals (keyboard, mouse, etc.) to the USB ports. Connect Ethernet cable to the Gigabit NIC port. Connect audio devices to the audio jacks.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 First Boot

After all components are installed and connected, power on your system. The system should display the BIOS/UEFI splash screen. If not, check all power connections and component seating.

5.2 BIOS/UEFI Setup

To enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility, press the DEL or F2 key repeatedly during the boot process. In the BIOS, you can configure various system settings, including boot order, CPU settings, memory timings, and fan speeds. Save changes before exiting.

5.3 Driver Installation

After installing your operating system, install the necessary drivers for the motherboard's components.   • Cable Management: Ensure cables are neatly routed to improve airflow and prevent interference.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Check power supply connections (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU).
  • Ensure front panel power switch cable is correctly connected.

No Display Output

  • Reseat graphics card and memory modules.
  • Try a different display cable or monitor.
System Beeps During Boot
  • Refer to the motherboard's beep code guide (often found in the full manual or online) to diagnose the issue (e.g., memory error, graphics card error).

  • Check SATA/M.2 connections to storage drives.
  • Verify boot order in BIOS/UEFI.
