4. Setup and Installation

Before installation, please test the unit to ensure it is functioning correctly. Do not install the product directly into the car after a long journey, as this may affect its performance.

4.1. Rear Interface Description

Refer to the diagram below for the power plug and other connections.

Rear Interface Wiring Diagram

Text Description: This image shows the rear interface of the car radio with various connectors. Key connections include the 20-pin main harness, 10-pin harness for BT/WiFi antenna, 4P/6P for USB, and 8P for the protocol box. Specific inputs/outputs are labeled: F-CAM (Video-IN-2), AUX R IN, AUX L IN, VIDEO-IN-1, VIDEO OUT, FR OUT, FL OUT, SUB WOOF, MIC, AMP CONT, BT Antenna, WiFi Antenna, R-CAM (Reversing Camera Input), USB1/2 (USB Port), and Protocol Box.

4.2. Power Connection

  • Yellow (BATTERY): Connect to constant +12V power supply. This line keeps the power on and retains memory functions.
  • Red (ACC): Connect to the ignition switch.
  • Black (GND): Connect to ground wire.
  • Orange (ILLUMINATION): Connect to backlight for illumination.
  • Pink (REVERSE): Connect to the reversing camera control line.
  • Blue (ANT): Connect to auto antenna power.

Important: When the yellow B+ and red ACC lines both receive +12V power, the unit will turn on normally. Ensure proper connections to avoid sound distortion or unit damage.

4.3. Reversing Camera Installation

The reversing camera is installed at the rear of the car. Follow the wiring diagram for correct connection.

Reversing Camera Wiring Diagram

Text Description: This diagram illustrates how to connect a reversing camera. The camera connects to the video cable (yellow connector) and power cable (red/black wires). The video cable connects to the AV display interface. The power cable connects to the reversing light (positive and negative). A trigger line (red) from the video cable connects to the display trigger line.

If the reversing camera is not installed, leave the REVERSE/BACK cable unconnected. Improper connection can cause display issues or force the unit into reverse mode. If the camera is broken, it will not light up even if wired correctly and needs replacement.

4.4. CANBUS Connection (if applicable)

For high-end models, connect the CANBUS box as shown. For low-end models, connect directly. If both the CANBUS box and black buckle are connected simultaneously, it may prevent the radio from shutting down after the car is turned off.

  • DAB+ Tuner: Enjoy high-quality sound with an optional DAB+ radio receiver stick connected via USB.
  • OBD II: Support on-board diagnostics to check the car system, analyze real-time data, and trouble codes (OBD II not included).

6. Maintenance

The screen is a manual retractable structure, not automatic. This design increases the product's service life, as electric telescopic gears are prone to damage.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Cannot boot normally

  1. Ensure the yellow (B+), red (ACC), and black (GND) wires are correctly connected. Incorrect or missing connections will prevent booting.
  2. Check if the fuse on the yellow wire is broken. If not, twist the yellow and red wires together, turn on the key, and press the power button to test.
  3. If the fuse burns repeatedly, there might be a short circuit in the unit's protection circuit. Professional repair is required.
  4. If the unit still doesn't boot, test it with an external 12V battery by connecting yellow/red to positive and black to negative. If it boots, the car's wiring is faulty. If not, the unit is defective.

7.2. Automatic shut-down

  1. If the blue (auto antenna power supply) cable is connected to the unit's power cable, it may cause automatic shutdown. Correct the wiring.
  2. Unstable voltage: Test with a stable 12V-5A power supply. If it still shuts down, the unit is faulty.

7.3. Noise issues

  1. If the original speaker power is too low, increasing volume may cause noise. Avoid excessively high volume.
  2. If the speaker cable is grounded, connect it directly to the unit's speaker cable.

7.4. Remote control not working

Test the remote control by pointing it at your mobile phone camera and pressing a button. If the phone's screen doesn't light up, replace the battery. If it lights up, the remote control is functional.

7.5. Settings not saved (no memory)

  1. The yellow and red wires are connected together (yellow to positive, red to key control).
  2. Yellow and red wires are reversed. Correct their positions.

7.6. Bluetooth not working

Turn on the unit, search for its Bluetooth name on your mobile phone, and click Connect. After connecting, you should be able to make calls and play music.

7.7. Product emits smoke

Replace the FUSE. If the problem persists, the internal circuit is burned. After-sales service is required.

7.8. Sound cannot be adjusted

  1. Reset the unit or unplug/replug the power cord.
  2. If the volume knob is broken, it needs to be replaced.

7.9. Reversing camera does not display

  1. Check for wrong or missing wiring.
  2. If the camera's lamp doesn't light up when wired correctly, the camera is broken and needs replacement.

7.10. USB devices cannot be played

Format the USB flash disk to FAT32. Re-download songs and try again. If it still doesn't work, replace the USB flash drive.

7.11. FM does not receive radio stations

  1. Ensure the antenna plug is fully inserted and the antenna line is not disconnected.
  2. Search for stations using the AS button (automatic search) or manual buttons.
  3. If the above doesn't resolve the issue, unplug the antenna plug and insert a screwdriver or metal strip into the antenna port.

7.12. No sound after a while

Disconnect all speaker cables from the unit (do not remove them). Connect an external speaker to the gray and purple wires of the tail line. If there is sound, the car's speaker line is short-circuited or the speaker is damaged. If there is no sound, the unit is broken.

8. User Tips

  • When using navigation, you can still listen to music or radio simultaneously.
  • For map updates, download the APK from the website, copy it to the GPS ROM, and set the navigation path in the settings.
  • Professional installation is recommended to avoid damage to the car's dashboard.
  • The screen is manually retractable, not automatic, which enhances durability.
