Maintenance
1. Cleaning
To keep your keyboard in optimal condition, regularly clean the keycaps and chassis. Use a soft, dry cloth for general cleaning. For deeper cleaning, you can remove the keycaps using the included keycap puller and clean underneath with compressed air or a small brush. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
2. Switch Replacement
Thanks to the hot-swappable design, individual switches can be replaced if they become faulty or if you wish to change your typing feel. Use the provided switch puller to carefully remove the switch. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are not bent during insertion.
3. Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid completely draining the battery frequently. Charge the keyboard using the provided USB-C cable and a standard USB power source. Do not expose the keyboard to extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not responding:
- Ensure the keyboard is charged.
- Check the connection mode (wired, 2.4GHz, Bluetooth) and ensure it matches your device's connection.
- For 2.4GHz, ensure the USB receiver is properly inserted.
- For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is paired and within range. Try re-pairing.
- Try connecting via USB-C cable to rule out wireless issues.
- Lighting not working/incorrect:
- Check brightness settings using the knob.
- Ensure the keyboard is not in a low-power mode that disables lighting.
- If using software, ensure settings are correctly applied and the software is running.
- Specific keys not working:
- Due to the hot-swappable design, a switch might be improperly seated. Carefully remove the keycap and then the switch using the pullers, and re-insert it firmly.
- If a switch is faulty, replace it with a new one.
- Bluetooth connection unstable:
- Ensure no other devices are causing interference.
- Keep the keyboard close to the receiving device.
- Try removing the keyboard from your device's Bluetooth list and re-pairing.
If you encounter persistent issues, please refer to the official FANTECH support resources or contact the seller for assistance. Communication is often the best way to resolve problems.
