To ensure optimal charging, regularly check that the solar panels are free from dirt, dust, leaves, or other obstructions. Clean them gently with a soft, damp cloth as needed.
5.2 Camera Lens and Housing
Periodically clean the camera lenses to maintain clear image quality. Wipe the camera housing to remove any accumulated dirt or debris. Despite being IP66 weatherproof, keeping the cameras clean helps prolong their lifespan.
5.3 Local Storage Management
The Homebase features 32GB of local storage with loop recording. While older footage is automatically overwritten, you can manually back up important clips to prevent loss. Check the storage status in the AOSU app periodically.
6. Troubleshooting
- Camera not powering on/charging: Ensure the solar panel is receiving sufficient direct sunlight (at least 2 hours daily). Check the connection between the solar panel and the camera.
- No video feed/offline camera: Verify the Homebase is connected to your router via Ethernet and powered on. Check the Wi-Fi signal strength for the camera in the app. Relocate the camera or Homebase if necessary to improve signal.
- False motion detection alerts: Adjust the AI human detection sensitivity settings in the AOSU app. Define specific activity zones to reduce alerts from irrelevant areas.
- Poor night vision: Ensure the camera lens and white-light spotlights are clean and unobstructed. Check if the night vision mode is correctly configured in the app.
- 2-Way Talk issues: Check your smartphone's microphone and speaker permissions for the AOSU app. Ensure a stable internet connection for both your phone and the camera system.
- Smart Home integration not working: Double-check that your AOSU account is correctly linked to Alexa or Google Assistant. Ensure your smart home devices are on the same network as your Homebase.
