3. Maintenance
3.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the radio's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure all ports (Type-C, headset/data) are free from dust and debris.
3.2 Battery Care
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
- Charge the battery in a cool, dry place.
- If storing the radio for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% and remove it from the radio. Recharge every few months to prevent deep discharge.
3.3 Storage
- Store the radio in a dry, cool environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- The radio has an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance, but it is not fully submersible. Avoid prolonged exposure to water.

4. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Radio does not power on | Low or dead battery; improperly installed battery | Charge the battery; ensure battery is correctly installed. |
| Cannot transmit or receive | Incorrect frequency/channel; antenna not connected; low battery; squelch level too high | Verify frequency/channel settings; check antenna connection; charge battery; adjust squelch level. |
| Poor audio quality | Low signal strength; interference; digital noise reduction setting | Move to an area with better signal; check for sources of interference; ensure digital noise reduction is enabled if in a noisy environment. |
| Keypad unresponsive | Keypad lock activated | Refer to the manual for unlocking the keypad (usually a long press of a specific key). |
