1. Introduction

Featuring a sturdy yet lightweight carbon fiber build, these sliders offer versatile shooting angles and intelligent dual control via a dedicated mobile application or a 2.4G remote control. 4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your NEEWER ER1 Motorized Camera Slider for use:

  1. Loosen the knob on the slider rail.
  2. Adjust the gear bolt so that the 'L' on the slider rail aligns, then insert the bolt into the slot.
  3. Ensure the teeth end of the slider bolt faces outwards, then tighten the slider bolt.
  4. Tighten the knobs on both ends of the slider rail (L and R).
  5. Install the ball head or gimbal onto the slider rail, then mount your camera onto the ball head/gimbal.
  6. Insert one end of the shutter release cable into the slider's designated port.
  7. Plug the other end of the shutter release cable into your camera's remote port.
  8. Turn on the slider.

Before operating the slider, ensure it is horizontally balanced. To do this:

  1. Open the tripod support of the slider rail.
  2. Loosen the brake knob.
  3. Adjust the slider until it achieves horizontal balance.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering the Slider

The slider can be powered using the included 2600mAh NP-F550 lithium-ion battery and USB charger. Alternatively, you can connect a portable charger to the 5V 2A Type-C power jack for extended filming sessions.

5.2 Control Methods

The ER1 series sliders offer intelligent dual control options:

  • Wireless APP Control: Download the official NEEWER app (available for Android and iOS) to control the slider wirelessly. The app provides an intuitive interface for setting parameters.
  • 2.4G Remote Control: Use the included RT-08 remote control for direct wireless operation.

Note: The mobile app and the 2.4G remote control cannot be connected to control the slider simultaneously. Choose one method for operation.

5.3 Shooting Modes

The slider supports various shooting modes to suit your creative needs:

  • Manual Mode: For direct, real-time control of slider movement.
  • Video Mode: Offers constant speed movement with customizable slow start and stop functions for smooth transitions.
  • Time Lapse Mode: Allows precise control over parameters such as frames, video length, interval, shutter speed (via App), and exposure time (via remote).

5.4 Achieving Multiple Shooting Angles

The slider features adjustment knobs on both sides to achieve diverse shooting perspectives:

  • For Horizontal Shots: Resume both adjustment knobs to their middle positions.
  • For Tracking Shots: Adjust one knob to the lower left and the other to the upper right.
  • For 120° Panoramas: Set one knob to the upper left and the other to the lower right.
  • The slider can also be positioned at a 45° tilt angle or mounted vertically at 90° for unique shots.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan and ensure the smooth operation of your camera slider:

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the carbon fiber rails and other components with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the slider in its carry bag to protect it from dust, moisture, and physical damage.
  • Battery Care: Charge the NP-F550 battery regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain its health. Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they are secure. Tighten any loose parts as needed.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your NEEWER ER1 Motorized Camera Slider, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
