4. Setup Guide
4.1 Physical Installation
- Attach Antennas: Carefully screw all six antennas onto their respective connectors on the router. Ensure they are finger-tight. The connectors are labeled for 5G and 2.4G/5.8G bands.
- Insert SIM Card: Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the router. Insert your active 5G/4G SIM card into the slot. Ensure it is correctly oriented and fully seated.
- Mounting: Use the provided mounting bracket and hoops to securely attach the router to a pole or wall in an optimal outdoor location. Choose a spot with clear line-of-sight to cellular towers and where WiFi signal can reach desired areas.

4.2 Power Supply (POE)
The CP520 router is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE). This allows both power and data to be transmitted over a single Ethernet cable.
- Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the WAN/PoE port on the CP520 router.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the 'PoE Out' port of the provided POE Charger (injector) or a compatible 48V/1A PoE switch.
- Connect the POE Charger to a power outlet using the power cord (if applicable).
- The router will power on automatically.
Tip: Ensure your PoE power supply equipment (e.g., PoE switch) is compatible with 48V/1A standard PoE.

Figure 7: POE Power Supply connection diagram.
4.3 Initial Configuration
- Connect to Router: Connect your computer to the router's LAN port (if available, or via WiFi if the default SSID is broadcasting) or connect your computer to the 'LAN Out' port of the POE Charger.
- Access Web Portal: Open a web browser and enter the default IP address:
192.168.100.1 - Login: Enter the default username and password. The default password is typically
admin. Refer to the Quick Start Guide for exact credentials if different. - Follow Setup Wizard: The web interface will guide you through initial setup, including changing default passwords, configuring 5G/4G settings, and setting up WiFi networks (SSID and password).
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Network Modes
The CP520 supports both 5G SA (Standalone) and NSA (Non-Standalone) operation. The router will automatically detect and connect to the best available 5G/4G network. You can monitor the network status via the web interface.
5.2 WiFi Settings
The router operates on dual bands (2.4GHz and 5.8GHz) with WiFi 6 (802.11ax) standard. You can configure separate SSIDs for each band or use a single SSID with band steering. Access these settings through the web management portal to customize your network name (SSID), password, and security protocols (WPA3, WPA2-PSK).

5.4 LED Indicators
The router features LED indicators to provide status information:
- Link Power: Indicates power status.
- RF Signal: Shows the strength of the cellular signal.
- SIM Signal: Indicates SIM card detection and status.
- SYS Signal: System status indicator.
Consult the Quick Start Guide for detailed interpretation of LED colors and patterns.
6. Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the router to prevent dust and debris buildup, especially around ventilation fins. Use a soft, dry cloth.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website regularly for firmware updates. Keeping your router's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
- Physical Inspection: Annually inspect the mounting, cable connections, and antennas for any signs of wear, corrosion, or damage. Ensure all connections remain secure.
- Environmental Considerations: While IP67 rated, avoid placing the router in locations where it is constantly submerged or exposed to extreme physical impact.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Internet Connection:
- Check SIM card insertion and activation status.
- Verify cellular signal strength via LED indicators or web interface.
- Ensure the Ethernet cable from the router to the PoE injector/switch is securely connected.
- Confirm the PoE injector/switch is powered on.
- Restart the router and PoE injector. - Slow Speeds:
- Check cellular signal strength; a weak signal will result in slower speeds.
- Ensure the router's antennas are correctly oriented and unobstructed.
- Reduce the number of connected devices or bandwidth-intensive activities.
- Check for firmware updates. - WiFi Disconnections:
- Ensure the router is placed optimally to cover the desired area.
- Check for interference from other wireless devices.
- Update WiFi drivers on client devices.
- Try changing WiFi channels in the router's web interface. - Cannot Access Web Interface:
- Verify your computer is connected to the router's network.
- Ensure you are using the correct IP address (default: 192.168.100.1).
- Clear your browser's cache or try a different browser.
- If you forgot the password, use the reset button (refer to the Quick Start Guide for location and procedure).
8. User Tips
- Optimal Placement: For best 5G/4G signal reception, mount the router in an elevated position with minimal obstructions between it and the nearest cellular tower. For WiFi, consider central placement to maximize indoor coverage.
- Antenna Orientation: Experiment with the angle of the external antennas to optimize both cellular and WiFi signal strength.
- Security Best Practices: Always change the default login credentials for the web interface and your WiFi network immediately after initial setup. Use strong, unique passwords.
- Mesh Network Planning: If deploying a Mesh network, strategically place additional Mesh-compatible devices to ensure seamless coverage without dead zones.
