Setup and First Use
Unpacking and Assembly
Your Varstrom eCity bike comes partially assembled. Carefully remove all packaging materials. It is recommended to have the bike professionally assembled or to follow detailed assembly instructions provided separately with your purchase. Battery Installation and Charging
The eCity bike is equipped with a removable 36V 10Ah Lithium-ion battery.

Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off and Display
Your eCity bike features a DM05 LCD display to manage your ride.
- To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the display.
- The LCD display will show speed, range, lighting status, motor assistance level, and battery charge.
- To power off, press and hold the power button again.
Pedal Assistance Levels
The e-bike offers 5 levels of pedal assistance. Use the controls on the handlebars to adjust the assistance level according to your preference and terrain.
- Level 1-2: Minimal assistance, suitable for flat terrain or extending range.
- Level 3: Moderate assistance for balanced effort and speed.
- Level 4-5: Maximum assistance for climbing hills or achieving higher speeds with less effort.

Gears and Braking
The eCity bike features an 8-speed transmission system and hydraulic disc brakes.
- Gears: Use the shifter on the handlebars to change gears. Lower gears are for climbing and starting, higher gears for speed on flat terrain.
- Brakes: The hydraulic disc brakes provide strong and precise stopping power. Apply both brakes gently and evenly to slow down or stop. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially at high speeds.


Lights and Accessories
The e-bike is equipped with a front light, rear light, and bell for safety. It also includes a rear rack.
- Lights: Turn on the front and rear lights when riding in low light conditions or at night.
- Bell: Use the bell to alert pedestrians and other riders of your presence.
