2.1. Package Contents

Before starting, please ensure all items are present in your package:

2.2. Initial Power On and Charging

The D7W tablet comes with a 2500mAh, 7.3V battery. For optimal performance, fully charge the device before first use using the provided adapter and Type-C charger cable.

  1. Connect the Type-C charger cable to the D7W tablet.
  2. Plug the appropriate regional adapter (US, EU, or UK) into a power outlet.
  3. Allow the device to charge until the battery indicator shows full.

2.3. Connecting to Vehicle (Wireless & Wired)

The D7W 2.0 supports both wireless (Wi-Fi) and wired connections to your vehicle.

2.3.1. Wireless Connection (Wi-Fi)

The VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface) features built-in Wi-Fi for stable communication with the tablet without needing an external router. This offers a diagnostic distance of up to 100ft.

2.4. Language Settings

The XTOOL D7W 2.0 supports 22 languages. The default language is English. To change the language:

  1. Activate the device using your email address and serial number.
  2. If you need to change the language from the default, contact XTOOL support with your serial number to enable the desired language.
  3. Once enabled, switch the language in the device settings.
  4. Click 'Update Device' to apply the language change.

4. Maintenance

The XTOOL D7W 2.0 provides free software updates for 3 years from the date of activation. Regular updates ensure you have the latest features, expanded vehicle coverage, and optimized applications. After the 3-year period, the device can still be used normally, but new software updates will require an annual subscription (currently $99/year).
