4. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. Follow these steps carefully:
- Find the Strongest Outdoor Signal: Identify the location outside your building where you receive the strongest cellular signal. This is typically on the roof or an exterior wall. Use your phone to check signal strength (aim for -70dBm or stronger).
- Mount the Outdoor Antenna: Securely mount the outdoor antenna in the location with the strongest signal. Ensure it is pointed towards the nearest cell tower.
- Run Cable to Booster (BTS Port): Connect one end of the coaxial cable to the outdoor antenna and run the other end to the location where you plan to install the booster unit. Connect this end to the 'BTS' port on the booster.
- Mount the Indoor Antenna: Install the indoor antenna in the area where you need improved signal. Ensure there is a physical barrier (e.g., a wall) and at least 10 meters of separation between the outdoor and indoor antennas to prevent signal oscillation. Do not place them in the same horizontal line.
- Run Cable to Booster (MS Port): Connect the indoor antenna to the 'MS' port on the booster unit using the provided cable.
- Connect Power Adapter: Plug the power adapter into the booster unit and then into a power outlet. The booster will power on.
- Waterproof Outdoor Connections: To prevent moisture damage and signal degradation, apply waterproof glue or tape to all outdoor cable connections.

5. Operating Instructions
Once the GOBOOST signal booster is correctly installed and powered on, it will automatically begin to amplify the cellular signals. The booster unit features indicators for each frequency band (700MHz, 850MHz, 1900MHz, 1700MHz, 4G(LTE2600)). These indicators typically illuminate to show that the respective bands are active and processing signals. No further user interaction is generally required for operation.

6. Maintenance
- Waterproofing: Periodically inspect outdoor cable connections and ensure they remain properly waterproofed to prevent moisture ingress.
- Cleanliness: Keep the booster unit clean and free from dust to ensure proper ventilation and heat dissipation.
- Connection Check: Occasionally check all cable connections to ensure they are secure and tight.
- Ventilation: Ensure the booster unit is placed in a location with adequate airflow to prevent overheating.
7. Troubleshooting
- Weak Signal After Installation:
- Verify the outdoor antenna is correctly pointed towards the cell tower.
- Confirm that the outdoor signal strength is at least -70dBm. Adjust the outdoor antenna's position or orientation if needed.
- No Signal After Installation:
- Check if the power adapter is perfectly connected to the booster unit and the power outlet.
- Ensure all RF connectors (BTS, MS) are securely tightened.
- Unstable Signal Strength:
- This often indicates signal oscillation. Ensure there is sufficient isolation between the outdoor and indoor antennas. They must be separated by at least 10 meters and a physical barrier (e.g., a wall), and not be in the same horizontal line.
- Reduced Signal Coverage:
- Check outdoor cable connections for proper waterproofing. Moisture can degrade signal quality.
8. User Tips
- Antenna Separation: The most common issue with signal boosters is insufficient separation between the outdoor (donor) and indoor (server) antennas, leading to oscillation. Always maximize the distance and use physical barriers.
- Outdoor Antenna Placement: Experiment with different outdoor antenna placements and orientations to find the absolute strongest signal. Even small adjustments can make a significant difference.
- Cable Management: Route cables neatly and securely to prevent damage and ensure consistent signal transmission.
9. Warranty and Support
The GOBOOST GB23-CG signal booster comes with a 12-month quality guarantee. If you encounter any defects with the repeater within this period, please contact the seller or manufacturer for support. Please note that air freight charges for returns may be the responsibility of the buyer.
