4. Package Contents

5. Installation Guide

5.1 Door Compatibility

Before installation, verify your door meets the following specifications:

5.2 Installation Steps

The ARPHA D289L is designed for easy installation and is compatible with both left and right-handed doors. A detailed installation video is available for visual guidance.

General Installation Overview:

  1. Prepare the Door: Ensure your door is properly drilled according to the provided template and meets the compatibility requirements.
  2. Install the Latch: Insert the deadbolt latch into the door edge and secure it with screws.
  3. Install the Exterior Assembly: Route the cable through the door and position the exterior smart lock assembly.
  4. Install the Interior Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the exterior assembly using screws.
  5. Connect Cables & Install Interior Assembly: Connect the cable from the exterior unit to the interior assembly. Carefully tuck excess cable into the door. Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate.
  6. Install Batteries: Insert 4 new AA batteries into the battery compartment of the interior assembly.
  7. Test the Lock: Perform initial tests using the mechanical key and the default code (if any) to ensure proper function.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Unlocking Methods

  • Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
  • Keypad Password: Enter your programmed password on the keypad, then press the unlock button.
  • Mobile App: Use the dedicated ARPHA app on your smartphone to remotely unlock the door via Bluetooth or WiFi.
  • Mechanical Key: In case of emergency or battery depletion, use the provided mechanical key to unlock the door.
  • One-Time Code: Generate temporary, single-use codes via the app for guests or service providers.

6.2 Doorbell and Two-Way Audio

When a visitor presses the doorbell button on the smart lock, you will receive a notification on your smartphone. You can then view the live video feed and engage in two-way audio communication with the visitor.

6.3 Auto-Lock and One-Touch Lock

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Replacement

The lock operates on 4 AA batteries. When the battery level is low, the lock will provide an alert. To replace batteries:

  1. Remove the battery cover on the interior assembly.
  2. Remove the old batteries.
  3. Insert 4 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Replace the battery cover.
