Operating Instructions
1. General Operation
- Power On/Off: The saw is activated by pressing the trigger switch. The speed is variable depending on how far the trigger is pressed. Release the trigger to turn off the saw.
- LED Light: The integrated LED light automatically illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed, improving visibility.
- Pivoting Foot: The saw features a pivoting foot that can be adjusted to provide better support and control when cutting different materials or in various positions, such as cutting pipes.
- Vibration Control: The innovative balancing mechanism helps to minimize vibrations, enhancing user comfort and control during operation.
2. Cutting Techniques
- Material Selection: Choose the appropriate saw blade for the material you are cutting (e.g., wood blade for wood, metal blade for metal).
- Workpiece Security: Always secure the workpiece firmly to prevent movement during cutting.
- Starting the Cut: Place the shoe plate firmly against the workpiece. Start the saw before the blade makes contact with the material.
- Cutting Pressure: Apply steady, moderate pressure. Do not force the saw, let the blade do the work. Excessive pressure can lead to overheating, reduced cutting efficiency, and premature blade wear.
- Cutting Pipes: Utilize the pivoting foot to stabilize the saw around the pipe for a cleaner and more controlled cut.
- Cutting in Confined Spaces: The compact design of the GSA 18V-24 makes it ideal for overhead work or cutting in tight corners. Ensure you have a clear view of the cutting line and maintain a stable grip.
