1. Introduction

The L8star BM30 is a compact and versatile mini mobile phone designed for portability and multiple functionalities. It can operate as a standalone 2G phone, a Bluetooth headset, or a Bluetooth dialer for your smartphone. Its features include voice changing capabilities, MP3 playback, and low radiation output, making it a convenient communication gadget.

3. Setup

3.1 Inserting SIM Card and Memory Card

1. Carefully remove the back cover of the phone.
2. Insert a Nano SIM card into the designated SIM card slot. The phone supports 2G/3G/4G Nano SIM cards.
3. If desired, insert a MicroSD (TF) card (up to 32GB) into the memory card slot for MP3 music storage.
4. Reattach the back cover securely.

3.2 Charging the Battery

Connect the provided charging cable to the phone's Micro USB slot and a compatible USB power source. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status. Ensure the phone is fully charged before first use for optimal battery life.

3.3 Attaching the Ear Hook (Optional)

The BM30 can be used as a Bluetooth headset. To wear it comfortably, attach the detachable ear hook to the phone. This allows it to hang firmly on your ear, preventing it from falling off during movement.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

• To power on, press and hold the Power button until the screen lights up.
• To power off, press and hold the Power button until the power-off options appear, then select 'Power Off'.

4.2 Basic Phone Functions

Once a SIM card is inserted, you can:

• Make Calls: Dial the number using the keypad and press the Call button.
• Answer Calls: Press the Call button when an incoming call is received.
• Send/Receive Messages: Navigate to the 'Messages' menu to compose and read SMS messages. The phone can store up to 100 SMS messages.
• Contacts: Store up to 500 contact numbers in the phone's memory.

4.3 Bluetooth Headset / Dialer Mode

The BM30 can connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth to function as a headset or dialer.

1. Enable Bluetooth: On the BM30, navigate to the Bluetooth settings and turn it on.
2. Pair with Smartphone: On your smartphone, search for available Bluetooth devices and select 'BM30' (or similar name) to pair.
3. Once paired, you can use the BM30 to make and receive calls, send and receive messages, and automatically sync your call books from your smartphone.

4.4 Magic Voice Changer

This feature allows you to change your voice during calls for entertainment. Navigate to the 'Magic Voice' setting in the phone's menu to select different voice options before making or answering a call.

4.5 MP3 Music Player

If a memory card with MP3 files is inserted, you can use the phone as a music player. Navigate to the 'Music Player' menu to browse and play your audio files.

5. Maintenance

• Keep the device dry. Moisture can damage electronic circuits.
• Do not expose to extreme temperatures. High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices and warp or melt certain plastics.
• Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the device. Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth.
• Handle with care. Do not drop, knock, or shake the device. Rough handling can break internal circuit boards and fine mechanics.
• The battery is removable and replaceable. If battery performance degrades significantly, consider replacing it with an original or certified compatible battery.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Phone does not power on

• Ensure the battery is properly inserted and charged.
• Connect the phone to the charger and try powering it on again.

6.2 No signal or cannot make calls

• Check if the Nano SIM card is correctly inserted.
• Ensure your SIM card is active and has sufficient balance/plan.
• Verify that you are in an area with network coverage.

6.3 Bluetooth pairing issues

• Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both the BM30 and your smartphone.
• Ensure both devices are within the maximum wireless range (<10m).
• Try restarting both devices and attempting to pair again.

6.4 MP3 player not working

• Check if a compatible memory card with MP3 files is inserted correctly.
• Ensure the MP3 files are not corrupted.
