6. Setup

  1. Power Connection:
    • For AC power: Connect the provided AC power cable to the charger's AC input port (100-240V) and then to a wall outlet.
    • For DC power: Connect the provided DC cable to the charger's DC input port (11-18V) and to a suitable DC power source (e.g., a car battery or power supply).
    • Important: Do not connect both AC and DC power simultaneously.
  2. Battery Connection:
    • Connect your battery's main power connector to one of the charger's output ports (CH1 or CH2).
    • For balance charging, connect the battery's balance lead to the corresponding balance socket on the right side of the charger. Ensure the correct direction: from Right (-) to Left (+).
  3. Power On: Flip the ON/OFF switch on the back of the charger to the 'ON' position. The touch screen will illuminate.

7. Operating Instructions

  1. Navigate the Touch Screen: Use the 3.2-inch color touch screen to select functions and adjust settings. The interface is designed for intuitive use.
  2. Select Battery Type: On the main screen, select the correct battery type (e.g., LiPo, LiFe, NiMH) that matches the battery you are charging. This is crucial for safe and effective charging.
  3. Choose Operation Mode: Select your desired operation mode, such as 'Charge', 'Discharge', 'Balance', or 'Cycle'.
  4. Adjust Parameters: Depending on the selected mode, you may need to adjust parameters like charge current, cell count, or discharge voltage. Use the touch screen to input values.
  5. Start Operation: Once all settings are confirmed, initiate the charging or discharging process. The screen will display real-time information such as voltage, current, and elapsed time.
  6. Monitor Progress: The charger provides monitoring features including battery voltage and internal resistance meter. Keep an eye on the charging process.
  7. Stop Operation: You can stop any operation at any time using the 'STOP' function on the screen.
  8. Memory Function: The charger allows you to store and load up to 6 sets of operation data for frequently used battery configurations.
  9. System Settings: Access the 'Setting' menu to configure parameters such as capacity limits, processing time, and temperature thresholds.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the charger's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the cooling fan and air outlets are free from dust and obstructions to maintain optimal heat dissipation. It is normal for the fans to make sound during operation due to heat dissipation.
  • Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables and connectors for any signs of wear, damage, or corrosion. Replace damaged cables immediately.

9. Troubleshooting

  • Charger Not Powering On:
    • Check if the AC or DC power cable is securely connected.
    • Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
    • Verify the power source is active and providing the correct voltage.
  • Charging Not Starting:
    • Confirm the correct battery type has been selected on the screen.
    • Ensure the main power and balance leads (if applicable) are correctly connected to the battery and charger.
    • Check for any error messages on the screen and refer to the manual for their meaning.
    • Verify the battery is not severely over-discharged or damaged.
  • Abnormal Noise from Fan:
    • A certain level of fan noise is normal for heat dissipation.
    • If the noise is excessively loud or unusual, check for obstructions in the fan or air vents.
  • Measurement Error: Note that a measurement error of ±8% is specified for certain readings. If discrepancies are within this range, they may be considered normal.
