5. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your reptile fogger system:

  1. Prepare Water Source: Place the filter end of the 5m tube into a clean water reservoir (e.g., a bucket or bottle). Ensure the filter is fully submerged.
  2. Connect Tubes to Host:
      a. Identify the 'IN' and 'OUT' ports on the side of the Smart Host.
      b. Insert the tube from the water reservoir into the 'IN' port. The quick plug self-locking interface will secure it automatically. To connect, simply insert the tube. To disconnect, press down on the gray ring and pull out the tube.
      c. Connect the remaining tube length to the 'OUT' port. This tube will lead to the misting nozzles.

  3. Install Misting Nozzles:
      a. Cut the 'OUT' tube at desired points to insert the misting nozzles. Ensure cuts are clean and straight.
      b. Insert the cut ends of the tube into the nozzle connectors. The nozzles are 360° adjustable, allowing you to direct the mist as needed.
      c. Use the adhesive-backed tube clamps and cable ties to secure the tubing and nozzles within the terrarium.
  4. Mount the Host Unit:
      a. The host unit can be fixed using either the provided suckers or the hook.
      b. For suction cup fixation: Attach the two suckers to the back of the host unit and press firmly onto a clean, smooth surface (e.g., terrarium glass).
      c. For hook fixation: Attach the hook to the host unit and hang it from a suitable edge.

6.1. Setting Spray Duration

The 'Spray Duration' display shows how long the system will mist during each cycle.

  1. Tap the 'Spray Duration' area on the touch screen.
  2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons (or similar touch controls) to adjust the misting time. The duration can be set from 10 seconds to 5 minutes.
  3. Confirm your selection (usually by waiting a few seconds or tapping an 'OK' button if present).

6.2. Setting Stop Duration (Interval Time)

The 'Stop Duration' display shows the interval between misting cycles.

  1. Tap the 'Stop Duration' area on the touch screen.
  2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons (or similar touch controls) to adjust the interval time. The interval can be set from 1 hour to 5 days.
  3. Confirm your selection.

6.3. Manual Spray

To activate a manual spray cycle, locate the manual spray button (often represented by a misting icon) on the touch screen and tap it. The system will mist for the set 'Spray Duration'.

6.4. Power On/Off

The system typically powers on automatically when connected to power. To turn off or put into standby, refer to the power icon on the touch screen.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your fogger.

  • Water Reservoir: Regularly check and refill the water reservoir. Ensure the water is clean and free of debris to prevent clogging.
  • Filter Cleaning: Periodically remove and clean the water filter to maintain good water flow. Rinse under running water.
  • Nozzle Cleaning: If misting performance decreases, the nozzles may be clogged. Disconnect power, remove the nozzles, and gently clean them with a small brush or by soaking in a descaling solution if mineral buildup is present.
  • Tube Inspection: Check tubing for kinks, cracks, or leaks. Replace any damaged sections immediately.
  • Host Unit: Wipe the host unit with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
