4. Setup & Installation
The CARABC interface is designed for non-destructive installation, utilizing original car line plug-and-play connections. Basic tools such as a pry tool and screwdriver are required.

Step-by-Step Installation
- Remove Trim Panel: Carefully pry and remove the trim panel located above the air vents.
- Disconnect Hazard Light Connector: Disconnect the electrical connector from the hazard light/central lock button assembly.
- Remove Air Vent Assembly: Unscrew and remove the entire air vent assembly.
- Remove Lower Trim Panel: Pry open the lower trim panel situated below the climate controls.
- Remove Climate Control Unit: Unscrew and carefully remove the climate control unit.
- Remove Head Unit: Unscrew and remove the main head unit (CD player).
- Remove Display Screen: Unscrew and remove the vehicle's display screen.
- Disconnect Original LVDS Cable: Disconnect the LVDS cable from the back of the original display.
- Prepare CarPlay Module: Unpack the CARABC CarPlay module and its dedicated wiring harness.
- Connect LVDS Cables to Module: Connect the provided LVDS cables to the 'IN' and 'OUT' ports on the CarPlay module.
- Connect Main Power Harness: Connect the main power harness to the CarPlay module.
- Integrate Harness with Head Unit: Disconnect the original main connector from the head unit. Connect the new harness in-line with the original head unit and the car's main connector.
- Connect LVDS to Display: Connect the LVDS cable from the original display to the CarPlay module, and the LVDS cable from the CarPlay module to the original display.
- Connect Power to Module: Ensure all power connections to the CarPlay module are secure.
- Reinstall Components: Carefully reinstall the display screen, head unit, climate control unit, air vent assembly, and trim panels in reverse order of removal.
- Secure Module: Place the CarPlay module in a suitable location, such as the glove box, ensuring it is secure and cables are neatly routed.

5.1 Connecting Your Smartphone
- Enable Bluetooth: On your smartphone, go to Bluetooth settings and ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
