7. Maintenance

  • SD Card Care: Regularly format your SD card (at least once a month) through the app settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Use Class 10 memory cards from reputable brands (SanDisk, KIOXIA, Samsung) for best results.
  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the dash cam lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to maintain clear video quality. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
  • Temperature: Operate the dash cam within the specified working temperature range of -20°C to 85°C. Extreme temperatures can affect performance and lifespan.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam Not Turning On: Ensure the power cable is securely connected and your vehicle's ignition is on. Check the indicator lights on the dash cam.
  • Wi-Fi Connection Issues: Double-check the Wi-Fi password (default is 12345678). Ensure your phone is close to the dash cam. Restart both the dash cam (by restarting the car) and your phone's Wi-Fi.
  • Video Quality Issues: Ensure the lens is clean. Check the video resolution settings in the app. If using a non-recommended SD card, it might affect performance.
  • Footage Not Saving/Corrupted: Format the SD card via the app. If the issue persists, try a new, compatible Class 10 SD card from a recommended brand.
  • G-Sensor Not Triggering/Too Sensitive: Adjust the "Driving Collision Sensing" sensitivity in the app settings.

9. User Tips

  • Verify Compatibility: Before purchasing or installing, always provide your vehicle's exact model, year, and a photo of the rearview mirror cover to ensure the perfect fit for your specific car.
  • Parking Mode: If you require recording when the car is off, the dash cam supports a parking mode feature. This typically requires a hardwire kit or fuse box cable (contact seller for details) to provide continuous power.
  • Rear Camera Functionality: For dual camera options, the rear camera records simultaneously with the front camera, providing comprehensive coverage. Ensure it's mounted correctly for your desired view (rear windshield for outside view, or facing cabin for interior monitoring).
