7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your ZL-7918A controller.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the controller's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no liquids enter the device.
  • Sensor Care: Keep the temperature and humidity sensors clean and free from dust or debris. Avoid submerging them in water or exposing them to extreme physical shock.
  • Environmental Conditions: Operate the controller within the specified environment: -10~45℃ and <90%RH without dew. Extreme conditions can affect performance and lifespan.
  • Connection Check: Periodically inspect all wiring connections to ensure they remain tight and free from corrosion.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ZL-7918A controller, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Check the power supply connection and ensure the outlet is functional. Verify the power wiring to terminals 13 and 14.
  • Incorrect Readings: Ensure sensors are correctly connected to their respective terminals (1-4 for humidity, 5-6 for temperature). Check for any physical damage or obstruction to the sensors.
  • Outputs Not Activating: Verify the wiring for the specific output (heater, fan, etc.) to terminals 15-24. Check the set parameters for temperature, humidity, and timing functions to ensure they are within the desired range and trigger conditions.
  • Alarm Triggered: Check the current temperature and humidity readings against the set alarm thresholds. Address the environmental condition causing the alarm.
  • Display Issues: If the display is erratic or blank, power cycle the device. If the problem persists, contact support.

9. User Tips

  • Sensor Placement: Position the temperature and humidity sensors in a location that accurately reflects the conditions within your incubator or climate chamber, away from direct heat sources or airflow.
  • Calibration: While the controller is factory calibrated, if you suspect inaccuracies, consider using a trusted external thermometer/hygrometer to verify readings. Some advanced controllers may offer calibration options (refer to the full manual).
  • Power Stability: Use a stable power source. Fluctuations can affect the controller's performance and lifespan.
  • Regular Monitoring: Even with automatic control, periodic manual checks of temperature and humidity are recommended, especially during critical periods like hatching.

10. Warranty and Support

This product is covered by a standard manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. For warranty claims or technical support, please contact your retailer or the manufacturer directly. Keep your purchase receipt as proof of purchase.
