1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new XMRM-M3 Voice Remote Control. This remote is designed as a replacement for various Mi TV devices, offering both standard remote functions and integrated voice control via Bluetooth.

2. Safety Information

  • Keep batteries out of reach of children.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
  • Remove batteries if the remote control will not be used for an extended period.
  • Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.

5. Setup

5.1. Installing Batteries

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide open the battery cover.
  3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

5.2. Pairing the Remote Control

To enable voice control and full functionality, the remote must be paired with your Mi TV device via Bluetooth. Follow these steps:

  1. Ensure your Mi TV Box S, Mi TV Stick, or Mi TV is powered on.
  2. Point the remote control directly at the center of your TV screen.
  3. Simultaneously press and hold the TV+ button and the Home button for a few seconds.
  4. Release the buttons when you see a pairing confirmation message on your TV screen.
  5. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

Note: The Google Assistant (voice control) may not be available in certain languages and countries.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Basic Functions

  • Power Button (Power icon): Turns your Mi TV device on or off.
  • Navigation Ring: Use the directional buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate menus and content. Press the center button to select.
  • Back Button (Left arrow icon): Returns to the previous screen or menu.
  • Home Button (House icon): Returns to the main home screen of your Mi TV device.
  • Volume Buttons (+ / -): Adjusts the volume level. This remote includes built-in IR functionality to control the volume of a regular TV, in addition to your Xiaomi TV.

6.2. Voice Control (Google Assistant)

After successful pairing, press the Google Assistant icon button to activate voice commands. Speak clearly into the remote's integrated microphone to search for content, control playback, or ask questions.

6.3. App Shortcut Buttons

The remote features dedicated buttons for quick access to popular streaming applications:

  • Netflix Button: Launches the Netflix application.
  • Prime Video Button: Launches the Prime Video application.
  • YouTube Button: Launches the YouTube application.
  • Apps Button: Opens the applications menu or app drawer.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's performance degrades or it stops responding. Always replace both batteries at the same time.
  • Storage: Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting

10. User Tips

  • Voice Control is Key: Remember to pair your remote via Bluetooth to unlock the voice control feature. Without pairing, the microphone will not function.
