4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Cleaning Modes
- Automatic Cleaning: The litter box will automatically clean itself after your cat exits, based on sensor detection. This is the default and most convenient mode.
- Timed Cleaning: Set specific times for cleaning cycles through the UBPet app. This is useful for maintaining a schedule or for multi-cat households.
- Do Not Disturb Mode: Configure periods during which the litter box will not perform automatic cleaning, ideal for nighttime or when you prefer silence.
- Manual Cleaning: Initiate a cleaning cycle at any time using the button on the unit or through the UBPet app.
4.2 Health Monitoring
The UBPet app provides real-time data on your cat's toilet usage, including weight, frequency, and duration. This feature supports up to 6 cats, allowing you to track individual health trends. Please note that cats with similar weights may be incorrectly identified by the system.

- Step 2: Unlock the shaft lock. Locate and unlock the shaft lock mechanism that holds the drum in place.
- Step 3: Remove the Drum. Carefully lift and remove the entire drum from the base unit.
- Wash the drum with water. Ensure it is completely dry before reassembling.
Important: The base unit contains electronic components and is NOT washable. Do not immerse the base in water or expose it to excessive moisture.

5.2 Waste Bin Management
The all-in-one garbage disposal system simplifies waste removal. You can use small, regular trash bags instead of specialized bags. Replace the trash bag regularly to maintain hygiene and odor control.
5.3 Litter Type Recommendations
For optimal performance and to reduce waste, we recommend using clumping cat litter with a particle length of less than 1 cm. Avoid using non-clumping or crystal litters as they may not be effectively sifted by the unit.
5.4 Base Unit Care
Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge the unit. Regularly check the anti-chew cable for any damage.

6. Troubleshooting
- Unit not powering on: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the unit and a working wall outlet.
- Cleaning cycle not starting: Check if the waste bin is full or if a cat is currently inside the unit (safety feature). Verify the selected cleaning mode in the app.
- App connectivity issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is stable and the unit is within range. Restart the app and the litter box. Re-pair the device if necessary.
- Odor persists: Ensure the waste bin is emptied regularly and the odor eliminator is fresh. Check for any litter accumulation outside the drum.
- Cat not using the litter box: Allow your cat time to adjust. Place a small amount of their old litter in the new unit. Ensure the unit is clean and free of strong odors.
- Sensor not detecting cat: Ensure the sensors are clean and unobstructed. If issues persist, contact customer support.
