8. Troubleshooting

  • Device does not power on: Check if the power cord is securely connected to both the unit and the power outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position. Verify the power outlet is functional.
  • No heat or insufficient airflow: Check if the hot air gun handle is properly connected to the main unit. Ensure temperature and air volume settings are correctly configured. The heating core might need replacement if it's old or damaged.
  • Inaccurate temperature reading: Perform a temperature calibration through the system settings menu.
  • Display issues: Check brightness settings in the system menu. If the issue persists, power cycle the device.
  • Handle buttons unresponsive: Check the 'Handle Function' setting in the system menu to ensure it's configured as desired (Memory or Temp/Air adjustment).

9. User Tips

  • Utilize Memory Channels: Save your most frequently used temperature and air volume settings to CH1, CH2, and CH3 for quick access and consistent results across different tasks.
  • Experiment with Heating Modes: The 'Standard' mode is great for general use, while the 'Curve' mode offers precise control for delicate or complex rework processes. Don't hesitate to explore both to find what works best for your application.
  • Direct Handle Control: Take advantage of the direct adjustment buttons on the hot air gun handle for on-the-fly changes to temperature and air volume without needing to reach for the main unit.
  • Cold Wind for Cooling: Use the cold wind function to quickly cool down components after soldering, preventing damage and speeding up your workflow.
  • Regular Cleaning: Keep the air inlets and outlets clean to maintain optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your rework station.
