5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Speaker

  1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the speaker's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a 5V USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Once fully charged (approximately 2-3 hours), the light will change or turn off.

5.2 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Power On: Press and hold the power button (Power button icon) for a few seconds until you hear an audible prompt and the LED lights start flashing, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  2. Enable Bluetooth: On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), go to Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
  3. Select Speaker: Look for "TG288" in the list of available devices and select it to pair.
  4. Confirmation: Once paired, you will hear a confirmation sound, and the LED lights will indicate a successful connection (e.g., solid light or a different flashing pattern).

5.3 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Connection

To connect two TG288 speakers for a stereo experience:

  1. Ensure both TG288 speakers are powered off.
  2. Power on both speakers simultaneously. They will enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
  3. On one of the speakers (this will be your primary speaker), double-press the 'M' (Mode) button. The speakers will attempt to connect to each other.
  4. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation sound. The primary speaker's LED will flash, and the secondary speaker's LED will be solid.
  5. Now, pair your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 5.2. The audio will play in stereo through both speakers.

5.4 Other Playback Modes

  • Micro SD/TF Card: Insert a formatted Micro SD/TF card (up to 32GB) with music files into the TF card slot. The speaker will automatically switch to TF card mode and begin playback.
  • USB Drive: Insert a USB flash drive with music files into the USB port. The speaker will automatically switch to USB mode and begin playback.
  • AUX Input: Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the speaker's AUX port and the other end to your audio device's headphone jack. Press the 'M' (Mode) button to switch to AUX mode.
  • FM Radio: Press the 'M' (Mode) button to switch to FM radio mode. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to scan for stations.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Controls

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Play/Pause: Short press the Play/Pause button (Play/Pause button icon) during music playback.
  • Volume Up: Short press the '+' button.
  • Volume Down: Short press the '-' button.
  • Next Track: Long press the '+' button.
  • Previous Track: Long press the '-' button.
  • Mode Switch: Short press the 'M' (Mode) button to cycle through Bluetooth, TF Card, USB, AUX, and FM modes.

6.2 Hands-free Calling

When connected via Bluetooth to your smartphone:

  • Answer Call: Short press the Play/Pause button when an incoming call rings.
  • End Call: Short press the Play/Pause button during a call.
  • Reject Call: Long press the Play/Pause button when an incoming call rings.
  • Redial Last Number: Double-press the Play/Pause button.

6.3 LED Light Control

The speaker features colorful RGB LED lights. A dedicated button (often indicated by a lightbulb icon Lightbulb icon) allows you to control the lighting effects. Short press this button to cycle through different light modes or turn the lights off. The light effect can be turned off at any time.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.

8. Troubleshooting

TWS connection fails.Ensure both speakers are TG288 models. Power off both, then power them on and double-press the 'M' button on one speaker to initiate TWS pairing. Keep them close during pairing.
Poor sound quality.Move the speaker closer to your Bluetooth device to reduce interference. Try a different audio source or file.
Micro SD/USB playback not working.Ensure the card/drive is formatted correctly (FAT32) and contains supported music files (MP3, WAV, WMA, FLAC, APE). Reinsert the card/drive.
FM radio reception is poor.Extend the USB cable (if used as an antenna) or move to an open area for better signal.

  • For the best audio experience, place the speaker on a stable surface at ear level.
