4. Operation
Once all components are installed and connected, close the side panels. The DB460M is designed for optimal airflow and heat dissipation.
- The full mesh front panel ensures maximum airflow for superior performance.
- Proper fan installation, as suggested in Figure 7, will contribute to the best temperature performance.
- Use the front panel Power button to turn on your system.
- Utilize the front panel USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports for convenient peripheral connections.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your PC case and its components.
- Dust Filters: The chassis includes dust filters (located on the top) to prevent dust buildup. Regularly clean these filters by removing them and gently brushing or washing off accumulated dust.
- Interior Cleaning: Periodically open the side panel and use compressed air to remove dust from internal components, especially fans and heatsinks. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or tempered glass.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your PC build, consider the following common troubleshooting steps related to the chassis.
- System Not Powering On:
- Ensure the power supply is properly seated and connected to the motherboard and components.
- Verify that the front panel power button cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's power header.
- Overheating Issues:
- Check if all installed fans are spinning correctly and oriented for optimal airflow (intake/exhaust).
- Ensure dust filters are clean and not obstructing airflow.
- Verify that CPU cooler and GPU heatsinks are free of dust.
- USB Ports Not Working:
- Confirm that the front panel USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 cables are securely connected to the correct headers on your motherboard.
- Side Panel Difficult to Close:
- Ensure all internal cables are neatly routed and not obstructing the side panel.
- Verify that no components are protruding beyond the chassis frame.
7. User Tips
- Cable Management: Utilize the space behind the motherboard tray for effective cable management. This improves airflow and aesthetics.
- Fan Orientation: For best cooling, consider an intake setup for front and bottom fans, and exhaust for top and rear fans.
- Component Compatibility: Always double-check the dimensions of your CPU cooler, GPU, and PSU against the case specifications (Max CPU Cooler Height: 174mm, Max GPU Length: 420mm, ATX PSU).
- Tempered Glass Care: Handle the tempered glass side panel with care to avoid scratches or breakage. Use a microfiber cloth for cleaning.
