3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Attaching the Camera Cage
- Preparation: Before installing the cage, please remove any side lock adapters from your camera.
- Secure the Camera: The cage features a three-point locking system for extra stability. It locks the camera via one bottom 1/4"-20 screw and two side lock adapters. Rubber pads are integrated to prevent scratching your camera body.
3.2 Attaching the Top Handle
The ergonomically designed top handle connects to the cage via a NATO clamp, providing a comfortable and stable grip, especially for low-angle shots.
3.3 Attaching the HDMI & USB-C Cable Clamp
The thumbscrew-tightened cable clamp is designed to fix both HDMI and USB-C cables simultaneously, preventing accidental disconnections during shooting.
3.4 Compatibility Notes
- The cage in this kit is compatible with LUMIX S5 II / S5 IIX / G9 II cameras.
- The HDMI & USB-C Cable Clamp is only compatible with LUMIX S1R II.
- The cage is compatible with Panasonic DMW-XLR1 / XLR2. However, the top handle included in this kit is not compatible with these XLR units. If you need to use DMW-XLR1 / XLR2, it is recommended to use the SmallRig Top Handle for Sony XLR-K1M / K2M / K3M and Panasonic DMW-XLR1 / XLR2 3082. Please remove the cable clamp on the bottom of the XLR before using the 3082.

The integrated Arca-Swiss quick-release plate allows for quick mounting and dismounting on:
