ZK-6002 TPA3255 Pure Post Amplifier Board Instruction Manual

Model: ZK-6002 | Brand: diymore

Product Overview

The ZK-6002 is a high-performance pure post amplifier board designed for audio enthusiasts. It utilizes two original TPA3255 chips to deliver a powerful 600W+600W stereo output, suitable for driving 2-8 ohm speakers. This module is engineered for high-fidelity sound reproduction, featuring a signal-to-noise ratio of 90dB and minimal distortion (< 0.05%). Its robust design includes an efficient air-cooled heat dissipation system with a silent fan and a thick brushed heat sink for stable and continuous full-power operation. The board incorporates high-power digital amplifier dedicated inductors for superior sound quality and comprehensive protection mechanisms against undervoltage, overheating, overcurrent, and short circuits.

Setup Instructions

  1. Power Supply Connection:

Connect a DC power supply with a voltage range of 18-50VDC. It is highly recommended to use a power supply with a voltage of 36-48V and a current of 10A or above for optimal performance. The power input can be connected via the 5.5-2.5DC female socket or the 2P terminal block. Important: Do not use AC power. Ensure correct polarity; reversing positive and negative poles or exceeding 51V will damage the board.

  2. Audio Input Connection:

Connect your audio source to the XH2.54-3P interface or the 3.5MM audio port input. A 3P double-ended shielded cable is provided for this purpose.

  3. Speaker Connection:

Connect your left and right channel speakers to the designated terminals. This amplifier supports speakers with an impedance of 2-8 ohms. Note: Bridging is not supported; left and right channels cannot be connected together.

Operating Instructions

  • Power On/Off:

Once all connections are secure, apply power to the board. The pilot lamp will illuminate when the board is operating normally.

  • Volume Adjustment:

Use the volume control potentiometer, which includes a switch, to adjust the audio output. It offers a linear adjustment range of 0-38dB.

  • Pilot Lamp Indicator:

The pilot lamp stays on during normal operation. If the input voltage drops below 18V, the pilot lamp will flash, indicating a low voltage condition.

  • Cooling Fan Operation:

Upon power-up, the fan performs a brief self-check and then stops. It will only activate and run when the board's temperature exceeds 50°C to maintain optimal operating temperature.

Maintenance

  • General Care:

Keep the amplifier board in a dry, dust-free environment. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures.

  • Cleaning:

Gently clean the board with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

  • Heat Dissipation:

Ensure adequate airflow around the board, especially around the cooling fan and heat sink, to facilitate efficient heat dissipation, particularly during prolonged high-power operation.

  • Authenticity Check:

To ensure you have an authentic product, verify the presence of the WUZHI AUDIO trademark logo on the fan, heat sink, and each large capacitor, as shown in Figure 5.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No power / Board not turning on
  • Incorrect power supply type (AC instead of DC)
  • Input voltage outside 18-50VDC range
  • Reversed power polarity
  • Input voltage exceeding 51V
  • Ensure a DC power supply is used.
  • Verify input voltage is within 18-50VDC.
  • Check and correct power supply polarity.
  • Ensure input voltage does not exceed 51V.
No sound output
  • Incorrect audio input connection
  • Speakers not connected or faulty
  • Volume set to minimum
  • Verify audio source is correctly connected to XH2.54-3P or 3.5MM port.
  • Check speaker connections and ensure speakers are functional.
  • Increase volume using the potentiometer.
Pilot lamp flashingInput voltage is below 18VDC.Increase the input voltage to be within the recommended 18-50VDC range.
Cooling fan not runningBoard temperature is below 50°C.This is normal operation. The fan will activate automatically when the temperature exceeds 50°C.
Distorted sound
  • Speaker impedance mismatch
  • Insufficient power supply current
  • Ensure speakers are 2-8 ohms.
  • Use a power supply with at least 10A current, especially for higher power output.

User Tips

  • Power Supply Quality:

For the best audio performance and to ensure the amplifier delivers its maximum power, invest in a high-quality DC power supply that can consistently provide the recommended voltage (36-48V) and current (10A or above). A stable power source is crucial for clean sound.

  • Speaker Matching:

While the board supports 2-8 ohm speakers, matching the speaker impedance to the amplifier's capabilities at your chosen voltage will optimize sound quality and prevent potential issues. Lower impedance speakers will draw more current and allow for higher power output, but require a robust power supply.

  • Cable Quality:

Use good quality, shielded audio cables to minimize interference and ensure a clean signal path to the amplifier. The included 3P double-ended shielded cable is a good starting point.

  • Ventilation:

Even with the built-in fan and heat sink, ensure the amplifier board is installed in an enclosure or location with adequate ventilation to facilitate efficient heat dissipation, especially during prolonged high-power operation.
