Setup Guide

1. Charging the Device: Connect the Vormor Z6 to a power source using the provided TYPE-C charging cable. Ensure the device is fully charged before first use. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status.
2. Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (usually on the side) for a few seconds to turn the device on or off.
3. Initial Language Selection: Upon first boot, you may be prompted to select the system language. Navigate through the options using the touch screen and select your preferred language.
4. Network Connection:
   • WiFi: Go to 'Settings' > 'WiFi', select your network, and enter the password.
   • Hotspot: Go to 'Settings' > 'Hotspot' and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to a mobile hotspot.
   • Offline Packages: For offline translation, navigate to 'Offline Package Management' in the settings. Download the necessary language packs. Once downloaded, networking is not required for these languages.
5. Time and Date Settings: Adjust the world clock and other time/date settings in the 'Settings' menu as needed.

Operating Instructions

1. Voice Translation (Online & Offline)

1. From the main screen, select 'Online Translation' or 'Offline Translation'.
2. Choose the source and target languages from the displayed list (e.g., English to Spanish).
3. Press and hold the designated microphone button (usually a physical button or an on-screen icon) and speak clearly into the device.
4. Release the button, and the translated speech will be played aloud and displayed on the screen.

2. Photo Translation

Our real-time language translation device is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera and professional OCR technology, which can translate images in 74 online and 40 offline languages. Simply point the camera at any text, and the instant translation device can automatically translate, allowing you to understand different language landmarks/menus/labels in seconds.

1. Select 'Photo Translation' from the main menu.
2. Choose the source and target languages.
3. Point the device's 8-megapixel camera at the text you wish to translate (e.g., a menu, sign, or label).
4. Tap the capture button. The device will process the image using OCR technology and display the translated text.

3. Text Translation

The upgraded instant translator has added a text translation function, which allows you to immediately translate and play the corresponding text by entering it after selecting the language. You can also click on the icon in the upper right corner to make corresponding settings. Make language translation no longer limited.

• Select 'Text Translation' from the main menu.
• Input the text using the on-screen keyboard.
• Select the desired source and target languages.
• The translated text will appear on the screen.

4. Intelligent Recording

The translation device has an intelligent recording function, which is a convenient tool for people with poor memory. They can not only record but also translate the recorded content into text and save the text, making them very suitable for lectures, meetings, lectures, and other purposes.

• Access 'Smart Recording' from the main menu.
• Start recording audio. The device can recognize 13 languages and translate the recorded content into text in 115 languages.
• Save the recorded audio and translated text for later review.

5. Group Translation (Meeting Mode)

This portable language translator device has a group translation function, allowing people who speak different languages to enter the same discussion group for communication and exchange by entering the same ID. Quickly address the need for interactive cross-border communication. The conference mode is very suitable for interviews or establishing connections with business partners, crossing the language gap and improving communication efficiency.

• Select 'Group Translation' from the main menu.
• To create a group, tap 'Create' and an ID will be generated.
• Other participants with Vormor Z6 devices can join by entering the same ID.
• Once connected, all participants can communicate in their native languages, and the device will provide real-time translations for everyone in the group. Supports up to 500 people.

6. Mobile Translation

The newly added mobile translation function of language translation device allows you to scan the QR code of the translation device on your phone and add it to the mobile translation for synchronization. You can select the corresponding voice in the upper left corner of the translation device, select the corresponding language in the upper left corner of the phone, and set up an accessible conversation between the mobile phone and the translation device.

• Select 'Mobile Translation' from the main menu.
• Scan the QR code displayed on the Vormor Z6 with your smartphone.
• Once connected, you can synchronize translation between your phone and the device, allowing for accessible conversations.

7. AI Assistant (Chinese Interface Only)

• Access 'AI Assistant' from the main menu.
• This feature provides intelligent Q&A, AI roles for professional Q&A, and AI writing capabilities based on the self-developed Xiaobei AI (ChatGPT big model).

8. Other Tools

• Exchange Rate Conversion: Use this function to quickly convert currencies.
• Unit Conversion: Convert various units of measurement.
• World Clock: View different time zones around the world.
• Language Learning: If you are interested in language and culture, or want to learn a language, this translator device can allow you to conduct follow-up assessments and intelligent scoring.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device's screen and body. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
• Software Updates: Periodically check for software updates in the 'Settings' menu to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
• Avoid Water Exposure: The device is not waterproof. Keep it away from water and high humidity.

Troubleshooting

Device won't turn on:

Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to the charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on again.

Translation is inaccurate or slow:

Check your internet connection (WiFi or hotspot). For online translation, a stable connection is crucial. Ensure you are speaking clearly and at a moderate pace. For photo translation, make sure the text is well-lit and clear.

Cannot connect to WiFi/Hotspot:

Verify the network password. Try restarting the device and your router/hotspot. Ensure the device is within range of the network.

Offline translation not working:

Go to 'Offline Package Management' in settings and confirm that the required language packs have been successfully downloaded and installed.

Screen is unresponsive:

Try restarting the device. If the issue persists, ensure the screen is clean and free from debris or moisture.

User Tips

• For best voice translation results, speak clearly and directly into the microphone, avoiding background noise.
• When using photo translation, ensure adequate lighting and hold the device steady to get a clear image of the text.
• Utilize the offline language packs for travel to areas with limited internet access. Download them in advance.
• The AI Assistant, while currently in Chinese interface only, can be a powerful tool for information retrieval and content generation if you are proficient in Chinese.
• Regularly check the 'Settings' for available software updates to enhance functionality and performance.
