4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Mounting the Camera
The camera supports Ceiling, Normal, and Wall Mounted installations. Choose a location that provides optimal coverage and a stable mounting surface. Use the provided Positioning Map to mark drill holes accurately.
- Select a suitable mounting location, ensuring it is within Wi-Fi range and has access to power.
- Place the Positioning Map on the desired surface and mark the drill holes.
- Drill holes according to the marks. Insert wall plugs if necessary.
- Secure the camera bracket to the surface using the provided screws.
- Attach the camera to the bracket.
4.2 Power Connection
Connect the camera to a 12 VDC power source using the provided power adapter. Ensure the connection is secure and protected from weather using the Waterproof Connector Kit for outdoor installations.
4.3 Network Configuration
The camera supports Wi-Fi connectivity (IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ax 2.4GHz) and can be paired via Bluetooth for initial setup.
- Download the DMSS mobile application from your device's app store (available for iOS and Android). Scan the QR code provided in the package for quick access.
- Open the DMSS app and create an account or log in.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the camera or using Bluetooth pairing.
- Connect the camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Once connected, you can access the live view and configure settings.

5. Operation
5.1 Live View and PTZ Control
Access the live feed through the DMSS app. For the PT lens, you can control its movement:
- Pan: Rotate the camera horizontally from 0° to 352°.
- Tilt: Adjust the camera vertically from 0° to 90°.
- Preset Patrol: Set specific points for the camera to automatically patrol.
- Auto Tracking: Enable the camera to automatically follow detected humans or vehicles.
The fixed lens can be manually adjusted within a 25° vertical range during installation to cover a specific area.

5.2 Smart Detection and Alarms
The camera utilizes AI for accurate human and vehicle detection. When an event is detected, you will receive instant notifications on your mobile device. The integrated sound and light alarm can be configured to activate upon detection, deterring potential threats.

5.3 Two-Way Talk
Use the two-way talk feature in the DMSS app to communicate with people near the camera. The built-in microphone and speaker allow for clear audio transmission and reception.
5.4 Night Vision Modes
The camera offers multiple night vision options for optimal surveillance in low-light conditions:
- IR Mode: Standard infrared night vision for black and white images.
- Full-Color Mode: Utilizes warm lights to provide full-color images even in darkness.
- Smart Illumination Mode: Automatically switches between IR and warm light based on detected activity, providing full-color images when needed and conserving power otherwise.

5.5 Storage Options
Recordings can be stored locally on a Micro SD card (up to 256GB) or on a compatible Network Video Recorder (NVR). The DMSS app allows you to review stored footage.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lenses and casing with a soft, damp cloth to ensure clear image quality. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Firmware Updates: Check the DMSS app periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance and security.
- Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect power and network cables for any signs of wear or damage, especially for outdoor installations. Ensure waterproof connections remain sealed.
- Power Supply: Ensure a stable power supply (12 VDC) to prevent interruptions in operation.
7. Troubleshooting
- Q: The camera constantly freezes and requires rebooting. Is this normal?
- A: Constant freezing is not normal. This could indicate a power supply issue, an unstable Wi-Fi connection, or outdated firmware.
- Check the power adapter and cable for damage and ensure a stable power source.
- Verify your Wi-Fi signal strength at the camera's location. Consider moving the router closer or using a Wi-Fi extender if the signal is weak.
- Ensure the camera's firmware is up-to-date via the DMSS app.
- If the issue persists, try resetting the camera to factory defaults (refer to the installation guide for specific steps) and reconfigure it.
