1. Introduction

The Feasycom FSC-BP104D is an innovative, waterproof IP67 Bluetooth 5.1 Low Energy (BLE) smart beacon designed for a variety of applications including proximity marketing, asset tracking, indoor location, and warehouse management. It features a super-long battery life of up to 10 years under default settings and supports multiple advertising formats such as iBeacon, Eddystone (URL, UID, TLM), and AltBeacon. 3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation

The FSC-BP104D beacon requires two AAA (LR03) batteries, which are not included in the package. To install the batteries:

  1. Hold the handles on both sides of the beacon.
  2. Rotate the housing to open the device.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the housing by rotating it back until it's securely fastened.

Notice: Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity to ensure proper function and prevent damage.

3.2. Power On/Off

To power on or off the device, long press the central area of the beacon. The LED light will flash three times to indicate the power status change.

3.3. Installation

The FSC-BP104D can be easily installed using adhesive or screws. When choosing an installation location, consider the following:

  • The beacon signal can be attenuated or blocked by metal, water, or the human body.
  • For optimal performance, it is recommended to place beacons above 2.5 meters high on walls or on the ceiling.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Configuration via FeasyBeacon App

The FSC-BP104D beacon is configurable using the free FeasyBeacon Mobile App, available for both iOS and Android devices. This app, compiled with the FeasyBeacon SDK, allows users to customize various parameters of the beacon.

4.2. Programmable Parameters

The following parameters can be configured using the FeasyBeacon App:

6. Troubleshooting & FAQ

Q: What is RSSI?
A: RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) at 1m is used to estimate proximity (immediate, near, far, unknown) and accuracy.
Q: Does FeasyBeacon support secondary development?
A: Yes, Feasycom provides iOS and Android system SDKs for secondary development.
Q: When receiving beacon broadcast notifications, is a Bluetooth 5 smartphone faster than a Bluetooth 4 smartphone?
A: No, the speed depends on the Android and iOS operating system, and has nothing to do with the Bluetooth standard version.
Q: Can a proximity beacon collect data?
A: Beacons themselves do not collect data. They broadcast signals that can be detected by apps on mobile devices.
Q: What should I do if I forget the FeasyBeacon password?
A: If you forget the password, you can connect to the beacon using the default password (000000) within 1 minute of powering it on. Follow these steps to modify the password:
  1. Re-power the Beacon device.
  2. Enter the FeasyBeacon APP and connect to the beacon device using the default password (000000) in the setting interface.
  3. Change to a new password and save it.

7. User Tips

  • Always ensure batteries are inserted with the correct polarity to avoid damaging the device.
  • For optimal signal transmission and reception, install the beacon in a location free from obstructions like large metal objects or bodies of water. Mounting the beacon above 2.5 meters on walls or ceilings is often recommended.
