1. Introduction

The Divoom Beetles Bluetooth Speaker is a compact, portable smart wireless mini speaker designed for versatile audio playback. It features a unique retro design inspired by the Beetle 99 and offers multiple functions including Bluetooth audio, FM radio, MP3 playback via TF card, and voice interaction capabilities. Its small size makes it easy to carry, while its 16-core speaker with Mica drum paper ensures high-quality sound.

2. Setup

2.1 Charging the Speaker

The Divoom Beetles speaker is equipped with a built-in battery. To charge, connect the speaker to a USB power source using a compatible USB cable (not included). The charging indicator light will typically show charging status and turn off or change color when fully charged. A full charge provides approximately 12 hours of continuous playback at normal volume.

2.2 Power On/Off

Locate the power switch on the side of the speaker. Long press the switch to power the device on or off.

2.3 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Power on the speaker.
2. The speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED light.
3. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
4. Select "Divoom Beetles" (or similar name) from the list of devices.
5. Once connected, the speaker will emit an audible confirmation, and the LED light will become solid.

2.4 Inserting a TF Card for MP3 Playback

The speaker supports MP3 playback via a TF (MicroSD) card. Locate the TF card slot on the side of the speaker. Gently insert a TF card with your desired MP3 audio files until it clicks into place.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Controls Overview

• Top Button: Short press for pause/play. Long press to activate Tmall Genie voice assistant.
• FM Dial (Rotary Knob): Rotate to select FM radio stations.
• Side Buttons (Left/Right): Short press to adjust volume. Long press to switch songs (in MP3 mode).
• Side Switch: Short press to switch between Radio, Bluetooth, and TF-card modes.

3.2 Bluetooth Audio Playback

After successful Bluetooth pairing, you can play audio from your connected device. Use the side buttons to adjust volume or skip tracks. Short press the top button to pause or resume playback.

3.3 Bluetooth Call Function

When connected via Bluetooth, the speaker can be used for hands-free calls thanks to its built-in microphone. Press the top button (play/pause button) to answer an incoming call. Press it again to end the call. Long press the top button to reject an incoming call.

3.4 FM Radio Operation

Switch to FM radio mode using the side switch. Rotate the FM dial to tune into different radio stations. The speaker covers all radio channels in China.

3.5 MP3 Playback (TF Card)

With a TF card inserted, switch to TF card mode using the side switch. The speaker will automatically play MP3 files. Use the left and right side buttons to switch between songs. Long press the side buttons to switch folders or enable single loop playback.

3.6 Tmall Genie Voice Interaction

To use Tmall Genie voice interaction, ensure the speaker is connected to the Tmall Genie APP. Long press the top button to activate the voice assistant. This feature allows for interactive voice response without needing a Wi-Fi connection.

4. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the speaker's exterior. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Water Resistance: The speaker is waterproof. While it can withstand splashes and light rain, avoid submerging it in water for extended periods. Ensure all ports are securely closed if exposed to moisture.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the speaker frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in use for long periods. Store in a cool, dry place.
• Storage: When not in use, store the speaker in a dry environment away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

5. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the speaker is fully charged. Connect it to a USB power source and try powering it on again.
• No Sound: Check the volume level on both the speaker and your connected device. Ensure the correct mode (Bluetooth, FM, TF card) is selected.
• Bluetooth Disconnection/Failure to Pair: Make sure the speaker is within the 10m wireless range of your device. Turn off and on Bluetooth on both devices, then try pairing again. Clear previous pairings on your device if necessary.
• FM Radio Static: Try repositioning the speaker to improve signal reception. In some environments, FM reception may be limited.
• TF Card Not Reading: Ensure the TF card is inserted correctly and contains compatible MP3 audio files. Try a different TF card to rule out card issues.
