4.3. Initial Configuration (Web UI)
- Connect to Router: Connect your computer or mobile device to the router's WiFi network. The default SSID (WiFi name) and WiFi Key (password) are usually found on a label on the back of the router.
- Access Web UI: Open a web browser and enter the default IP address:
192.168.0.1. - Login: Enter the default username and password, which are typically
adminfor both. - Configure APN Settings: Navigate to the APN settings section. You may need to find and enter the APN profile specific to your SIM card's carrier. If you don't know your APN profile, contact your SIM card provider. Save the settings and restart the router.
- Set Network Mode: In the Web UI, you can select the preferred network mode (e.g., 4G only, 4G/3G, 5G NSA/SA) to optimize signal and network channel.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. 4G to WiFi Hotspot
Once the router is powered on and connected to the 4G network, it will broadcast a WiFi signal. You can connect up to 16 wireless devices (smartphones, laptops, tablets, game consoles, web cameras, etc.) to this WiFi hotspot. The SSID and password can be found on the router's label or configured via the Web UI.

5.2. 4G to LAN Connection
For wired devices, connect an Ethernet cable from the router's LAN port to your computer or other network-enabled device. The router will provide internet access through this wired connection. The B828 PLUS model's Type-C port can also be used for network sharing.
5.3. SMS Function
The router supports SMS functionality, allowing you to read, write, and send text messages. This feature is typically accessed and managed through the router's Web UI.

5.4. Web UI Management
The Web UI (accessible at 192.168.0.1) provides comprehensive control over your router's settings. You can:
- Change WiFi SSID and password.
- Manage connected users (whitelist/blacklist).
- Configure network modes (4G only, 4G/3G, etc.).
- Adjust security settings (WPA2/WPA3).
- Access SMS functions.
- View network status and signal strength.

6. Maintenance
6.1. General Care
- Keep the router in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Avoid exposing the device to water or excessive humidity.
- Clean the router with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
6.2. Resetting the Router
If you experience persistent issues or forget your login credentials, you can perform a factory reset:
- With the router powered on, locate the 'Reset' button (usually a small pinhole) on the back of the device.
- Use a paperclip or a similar pointed object to press and hold the 'Reset' button for approximately 5-10 seconds until the indicator lights flash.
- Release the button. The router will restart with factory default settings.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1. No Internet Connection
- Check SIM Card: Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and that its PIN code is disabled.
- APN Settings: Verify that the APN settings in the Web UI are correct for your carrier.
- Signal Strength: Check the 4G/LTE signal indicator on the router. If the signal is weak, try moving the router to a different location.
- Data Plan: Confirm that your SIM card has an active data plan.
7.2. "No SIM" or "PIN" Error
This error typically indicates that the SIM card's PIN code is active. You must disable the PIN code on your mobile phone or contact your carrier to do so. The router cannot operate with a PIN-locked SIM card.
7.3. Slow WiFi Speed
- Signal Strength: A weak 4G signal will result in slower WiFi speeds.
- Number of Users: Too many devices connected simultaneously can reduce speed. The router supports up to 16 users.
- Network Mode: Ensure the router is set to the optimal network mode (e.g., 4G only) in the Web UI.
- Interference: Keep the router away from other electronic devices that might cause interference.
7.4. Cannot Access Web UI (192.168.0.1)
- Connection: Ensure your device is connected to the router's WiFi or via an Ethernet cable.
- IP Address: Double-check that you are entering the correct IP address (192.168.0.1).
- Browser Cache: Clear your browser's cache and cookies, or try a different browser.
- Firewall/Antivirus: Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software that might be blocking access.
- Router Restart: Restart the router and try again. If issues persist, perform a factory reset.
8. User Tips
- SIM Card Compatibility: This router does not support special SIM cards such as eSIM, IoT SIM, or roaming SIMs. Use standard Nano SIM cards from compatible carriers.
- Speed Expectations: The advertised speeds (e.g., 300Mbps) are theoretical transmission rates. Actual speeds may vary based on network conditions, signal strength, and environmental factors.
- Not a WiFi Repeater: This device functions as a 4G router, converting a cellular signal into WiFi. It is not designed to act as a WiFi repeater to extend an existing WiFi network.
- Battery Life: For the B828 PLUS model, the 3000mAh battery provides approximately 4-8 hours of working time. For extended use, consider connecting to a USB power source or power bank.
9. Warranty and Support
Your Benton 4G Router comes with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects. For technical support, troubleshooting assistance, or warranty claims, please contact the seller or manufacturer directly. Keep your proof of purchase for warranty validation.
