5. Installation
The QIACHIP Smart Ceiling Fan Switch is designed to replace the original driver of your non-smart LED ceiling fan. It requires a Load & Neutral Wire connection.
5.1 Wiring Diagram

5.2 Installation Steps
- Disconnect power to the ceiling fan at the circuit breaker.
- Remove the existing fan canopy and disconnect the old driver/wiring.
- Connect the QIACHIP receiver according to the wiring diagram provided.
- Carefully tuck the receiver and wiring into the fan canopy.
- Secure the fan canopy back in place.
- Restore power at the circuit breaker.

6. Operation
6.1 RF Remote Control Functions
The included 2.4G RF remote control allows for direct control of your fan and light. The remote has an effective range of up to 50 feet.

6.2 Mobile App Control (Smart Life App)

7. Pairing Instructions
7.1 RF Remote Control Pairing
Our products are pre-paired at the factory and can be controlled directly with the remote control after installation.
- After the receiver has been connected to power, you will hear a beep.
- Within 15 seconds of powering on the receiver, press the 'LIGHT' and 'HI' buttons on the remote control simultaneously.
- Hold until you hear 3 beep sounds from the receiver (the LED on the remote control will flash simultaneously).
- The pairing process is now complete.
7.2 Mobile App Pairing (Smart Life App)
To control your device via the Smart Life app, follow these steps:
- Initiate Pairing Status: After power-on, initiate the pairing state by holding down the 'LIGHT' and 'HI' buttons on the RF remote control simultaneously for at least 10 seconds until you hear a long beep sound from the receiver or the LED light switches off.
- Download and Open App: Download and open the 'Smart Life' mobile app on your smartphone.
- Add Device: Press the '+' button in the top right corner of the mobile app.
- Select Device Type: Under 'Add Manually', select 'Small Home Appliances', then choose 'Fan'.
- Confirm Indicator: Click 'Confirm indicator rapidly blink' in the app.
- Enter Wi-Fi Details: Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password, then proceed to click 'OK' or 'Confirm'.
- Connection: The app will begin connecting to the device. Please wait for the connection to succeed.
- Completion: Once connected, proceed to click 'Done'. Your device should now appear in the app's home screen.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1 RF Remote Control Clearing/Reset
If you need to unpair or reset the remote control:
- Ensure the receiver is powered on.
- Within 15 seconds of powering on the receiver, press the 'LIGHT' button on the remote control 5 times.
- Hold until you hear a long beep from the receiver.
- The remote control is now reset and no longer paired with the receiver.
8.2 Common Issues
- Device not responding: Check power connections. Ensure the remote has working batteries. If using the app, check Wi-Fi connectivity.
- App pairing failure: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz (5GHz networks are not supported for initial pairing). Make sure the device is in pairing mode (LED rapidly blinking).
- No beep sound during pairing: Verify the receiver is correctly wired and powered.
- Fan/Light not working after installation: Double-check all wiring connections against the diagram. Ensure the maximum load power is not exceeded.
