Setup and Installation
1. Pre-installation Checks
- Ensure your door thickness is between 35mm and 55mm (1-3/8in to 2-1/8in).
- The diameter of the door-opening hole should be approximately 54mm.
- Measure the backset distance from the edge of the door to the center of the lock hole. This lock supports 60mm or 70mm backset.

- **Install Lock Cylinder:** Insert the lock cylinder into the door and align the screw holes. Secure it with the provided screw.
- **Prepare Front Handle:** Pass the square steel rod through the front handle. Thread the power cable through the square steel rod.
- **Connect Power Cable:** Carefully pass the power cable through the square steel rod and ensure it is securely seated.
- **Disassemble Back Handle:** Remove the back handle cover by unscrewing the small screw at the bottom.
- **Assemble Handles on Door:** Install the front handle assembly onto the door, ensuring the square steel rod and power cable pass through the door's holes and connect to the lock cylinder. Then, connect the power cable to the back handle's circuit board.
- **Secure Back Handle:** Attach the back handle to the door, aligning it with the front handle. Secure it with the provided screws. Insert the batteries and close the battery cover.
**Important:** The lock body's backset is adjustable between 60mm and 70mm. When adjusting, hold the square hole on the lock firmly and push the shifting part to the edge of the lock, ensuring the front and back square holes are horizontal.

2. User Management (via App)
The app allows for comprehensive user management:
- **Add User:**
- Enter "108#" on the keypad.
- Verify administrator (if set).
- Enter the unlock information (fingerprint, password, or IC card).
**Note:** The first three registered users become administrators. Subsequent users are regular users. Fingerprints require 5 consecutive entries, passwords 2, and cards 1. A green light indicates successful input. Total user capacity is 200.
- **Send Temporary Password:** Generate periodic, time-limited, or one-time passwords via the app to share with family, friends, or tenants.

3. Virtual Password
For enhanced security, you can use a virtual password. The actual password can be up to 24 digits long, and additional random digits can be added at the beginning or end of the correct password. For example, if your correct password is "666888", you can enter "125254666888#" or "6668883584#" to unlock.

Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
The smart lock is powered by 4 AAA alkaline batteries (not included). When the battery is low, the lock will provide an automatic low-power reminder. To replace the batteries, open the battery compartment on the interior handle and insert new batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

2. Emergency Power Supply
If the batteries completely drain, you can temporarily power the device using a 5V DC power bank connected to the Type-C emergency charging port located on the outer handle. This allows you to unlock the door and replace the batteries.

Using the Type-C interface for emergency unlocking.
3. System Initialization (Factory Reset)
To reset the lock to factory settings:
- Enter "888#" on the keypad.
- Verify administrator (if set).
- The system will initialize directly.
**Note:** After initialization, anyone can unlock the door without a password. You will need to set up a new administrator and users. You can also force initialization by long-pressing the setting button (S1) for 5 seconds, which directly resets the system without admin verification.
Troubleshooting
- **Lock not responding:** Check battery levels. If low, replace batteries or use emergency Type-C power.
- **Fingerprint/Password/Card not unlocking:** Ensure the fingerprint, password, or card is correctly registered. If no administrator is set, any fingerprint or the initial password "123456#" can unlock. Once an administrator is set, only registered credentials work.
- **Cannot add new users:** If an administrator is registered, their verification is required to enter add mode. Ensure the administrator is present and verifies their identity.
- **App not connecting to lock:**
- Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz and Bluetooth is on.
- Try resetting the lock by inserting the reset pin tool into the reset hole (S1) on the interior handle and holding for 5 seconds.
- Remove and reinsert batteries to restart the lock's Bluetooth.
- **Password registration failure:** Numeric passwords must be 6-8 digits long. Longer passwords will fail registration.
- **Accidental unlock by unregistered fingerprint/password:** This only happens if no user (including administrator) has been registered yet. Register at least one administrator immediately after installation.
User Tips
- **Initial Setup Security:** Immediately after installation, register at least one administrator fingerprint or password. Until an administrator is set, the lock can be opened by any fingerprint or the default password "123456#".
- **Gateway for Remote Access:** While the lock supports Bluetooth app unlocking without a network, for full remote Wi-Fi functionality (e.g., unlocking from anywhere), an optional Tuya-compatible gateway is required.
- **Volume Control:** You can adjust the lock's volume. Enter "21#" and verify the administrator (or use initial password/any fingerprint if no admin is set). Then select volume levels using keys 0, 1, 2, or 3.
- **Always Open Mode:** Use the "Normally open button (S2)" for quick activation/deactivation of the always-open mode. This is convenient for temporary unrestricted access.
- **Electronic Deadlock:** Long press the "Normally open button (S2)" to enable/disable the electronic deadlock. When enabled, only administrators can unlock the door, providing an extra layer of security.
