6. Maintenance

6.1. APE560 Call Button Battery Replacement

The APE560 call buttons are powered by an Alkaline 12V 23A battery with an estimated life of 12-18 months. To replace the battery:

  1. Locate the base key hole on the side of the call button.
  2. Use a small tool (e.g., a paperclip or small screwdriver) to gently open the waterproof base.
  3. Carefully remove the old battery.
  4. Insert a new Alkaline 12V 23A battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  5. Close the waterproof base securely.

6.2. Cleaning

  • Wipe the receiver and call buttons with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the surface.
  • The APE560 call button has a 'general watering' waterproof rating, meaning it can withstand splashes but should not be submerged.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Signal from Call Button:
    • Check if the call button's battery needs replacement.
    • Ensure the call button is within the transmitting range (up to 800m in open space). Obstacles like thick walls can reduce range.
    • Verify the call button is properly paired with the receiver.
  • Receiver Not Displaying/Alerting:
    • Ensure the receiver is properly plugged into a power source and turned on.
    • Check if the volume or alert settings on the receiver are correctly configured.
    • If multiple buttons are not working, there might be an issue with the receiver's signal reception or internal fault.
  • Incorrect Number Displayed:
    • This usually indicates a pairing issue. Re-pair the call button with the desired number.
