1. Setup
1.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Verify that all items listed in the "Package Contents" section are present and undamaged.
- Remove any protective films or stickers from the robot and charging base.
1.2 Charging Base Placement
- Place the auto-empty charging base against a wall in an open area, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1 meter (3 feet) to the front and 0.5 meters (1.5 feet) to the sides.
- Ensure the area is free from direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
- Connect the power adapter to the charging base and plug it into a power outlet.
1.3 Initial Charging
- Place the robot vacuum onto the charging base. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the base.
- The robot will begin charging automatically. For optimal battery life, fully charge the robot before its first use (approximately 4-5 hours).
1.4 App Connection and Smart Mapping
- Download the Teendow app (or TUYA app, as indicated) from your smartphone's app store.
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot vacuum to your home Wi-Fi network.
- The robot uses LDS (Laser Distance Sensor) navigation to create a 5-layer mapping map of your home during its first cleaning cycle. This map allows for efficient and systematic cleaning.
- You can view and manage the map within the app.
1.5 Setting Up Exclusion Zones and Virtual Walls
- Using the Teendow app, you can define customized exclusion zones (Sperrgebiet) to prevent the robot from entering specific areas.
- You can also set up virtual walls (Virtuelle Wand) to block off certain sections of your home.
2. Operating Your Robot Vacuum
2.1 Starting and Pausing Cleaning
- Manual Start: Press the power button on the robot once to start a cleaning cycle.
- App Control: Open the Teendow app and select "Start Cleaning" or a specific cleaning mode.
- Voice Control: Use voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant (e.g., "Alexa, start cleaning with Teendow").
- Pausing: Press the power button again or use the app to pause cleaning.
2.2 Cleaning Modes and Suction Levels
- The D10S MAX offers sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping functions.
- Adjust suction power (3 speed levels) and water flow for mopping via the Teendow app to suit different floor types and cleaning needs.
2.3 Scheduling Cleaning
- Use the Teendow app to set up daily or weekly cleaning schedules.
- The robot will automatically start cleaning at the scheduled times and return to the charging base when finished or when the battery is low.
2.4 Automatic Charging
- When the battery is low, the robot will automatically return to its charging base.
- After charging, it will resume cleaning from where it left off if the cleaning cycle was not completed.
3. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Teendow D10S MAX.
3.1 Auto-Empty Dustbin and Dust Bag
- The auto-empty station automatically transfers collected debris from the robot's dustbin (300ml capacity) into a larger 3L dust bag.
- Check the 3L dust bag in the auto-empty station periodically (e.g., every 60 days, depending on usage) and replace it when full.
- The robot's internal dustbin should also be checked and cleaned manually if needed.
3.2 Water Tank and Mop Pad
- After mopping, remove the 260ml water tank and empty any remaining water.
- Clean the water tank with fresh water and allow it to air dry.
- Remove the mop pad and wash it thoroughly. Allow it to air dry completely before reattaching.
3.3 Rolling Brush and Side Brushes
- Periodically remove the rolling brush and use the provided cleaning tool to cut and remove any tangled hair or debris.
- Inspect the side brushes for wear and tear. If they are bent or damaged, replace them with new ones.
3.4 Sensors and Charging Contacts
- Wipe all sensors (cliff sensors, wall sensors, etc.) and charging contacts on both the robot and the charging base with a clean, dry cloth.
- Ensure no dust or debris obstructs the sensors for proper navigation.
4. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Teendow D10S MAX, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Robot does not turn on: Ensure the battery is charged. Place the robot on the charging base and allow it to charge for several hours.
- Robot does not charge: Check if the charging contacts on both the robot and the base are clean and free of debris. Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged in.
- Robot gets stuck frequently: Clear obstacles from the cleaning path. Use the app to set up exclusion zones or virtual walls for problem areas. Check if the robot's sleek profile (98mm height) allows it to pass under furniture.
- Poor cleaning performance: Empty the dustbin and dust bag. Clean the rolling brush, side brushes, and filters. Ensure the water tank is filled for mopping.
- Robot cannot find charging base: Ensure the charging base is placed in an open area with sufficient clearance. Clean the sensors on the robot and the base.
- App connectivity issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is stable and the robot is within range. Restart the robot and your router. Follow the app's pairing instructions carefully.
- Unusual noises: Check the rolling brush and side brushes for tangled hair or foreign objects. Inspect the wheels for obstructions.
