Wiring Precautions

  • 10P Connector: Connect the reversing video input. The two short wires above this line are the Bluetooth and WIFI antennas. Even if a reversing camera is not connected, this cable must be connected to the machine; otherwise, Bluetooth, WIFI, CarPlay, and Android Auto will not function.
  • 6P Connector: Connect USB-2.
  • 4P Connector: Connect USB-1.
  • 8P Connector: Connect the CANBUS box. If your product includes a CANBUS box, it must be connected to the 8-pin socket on the body; otherwise, some original car functions will be unavailable.
  • 12P Connector: For 360-degree panoramic reversing image (only supported by some models).
  • 20P RCA Plug: For the AMP CONT line, if your car supports speakers like JBL or BOSE, you may need to connect this cable to the on-off control of your car's power amplifier. If there is no sound, try connecting it.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BQCC car radio, follow these general maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for software updates to ensure you have the latest features and bug fixes. Updates may be available through the device's settings or the manufacturer's website.
  • Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or excessive moisture.
  • Fuse Replacement: If a fuse blows, replace it with one of the same type and rating to prevent damage to the unit.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your BQCC car radio. For more detailed troubleshooting, refer to the PDF user manual linked in the product description.

1. Cannot Boot Normally

  • Wiring Check: Ensure the yellow wire is connected to the positive pole, the red wire to the key control line, and the black wire to the negative pole. Incorrect or loose connections will prevent booting.
  • Original Car Wiring: Do not connect the unit's wiring directly to the original car's wiring based solely on color, as car wiring colors may not be standard. This can cause damage.
  • Fuse Check: If the 3 wires are correctly connected but the unit doesn't boot, check the fuse on the yellow line. If the fuse is intact, twist the yellow and red wires together, turn the key, and press the power button.
  • Persistent Fuse Blowing: If fuses repeatedly blow, it indicates a short circuit in the unit's protection circuit. Professional repair is required.

2. Automatic Shut-down

  • Incorrect Cable Connection: If the blue cable (automatic antenna power supply) is connected to the unit's power cable, automatic shutdown will occur. Correct the wiring.
  • Unstable Voltage: Test the power supply with a 12V-5A source. If the unit still shuts down, the power supply is faulty. If it doesn't shut down, the unit is faulty.

3. Noise

  • Speaker Power: If the original speaker power is too low, noise will occur at high volumes. Reduce volume or replace speakers.
  • Grounded Speaker Cable: Ensure speaker cables are not grounded. Connect the speaker cable directly to the unit's speaker cable.

4. Remote Control Cannot Be Used

  • Test Method: Use a mobile phone camera to check if the remote control's light illuminates when a button is pressed. If not, replace the battery. If it lights up, the remote control is functional.

5. Settings Cannot Be Saved (No Memory)

  • Wiring Check: The yellow and red lines are connected together (yellow to positive, red to key control). If they are reversed, simply change their positions.

6. Bluetooth Not Working

  • Connection Steps: Turn on the unit, search for its Bluetooth name on your mobile phone, and click Connect.

7. Product Emits Smoke

  • Fuse Replacement: Replace the fuse. If the problem persists, the internal circuit is burned, requiring after-sales service.

8. Sound Cannot Be Adjusted

  • Reset: Reset the unit or unplug and replug the power cord.
  • Volume Knob: If the volume knob is broken, it can be replaced.

9. Reversing Camera Does Not Display

  • Wiring: Check for incorrect or missing wiring. Refer to the reversing camera installation method (Figure 6).
  • Faulty Camera: If the camera's lamp does not light up when correctly wired, the camera is faulty and needs replacement.

10. USB Devices Cannot Be Played

  • Format: Format the USB flash drive to FAT32. Re-download songs and try again. If it still doesn't work, replace the USB flash drive.

11. FM Does Not Receive Radio Station

  • Antenna Connection: Ensure the antenna plug is fully inserted and not disconnected.
  • Search: Use the "AS" button to automatically search for stations, or use the forward/backward buttons.
  • Antenna Fault: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, unplug the antenna and try inserting a screwdriver or metal strip in its place to test.

12. No Sound Right After Installation

  • Wiring Error: This is usually due to a wiring error or a short-circuited original car speaker wire.
  • Speaker Cable Check: Check if the speaker cable is short-circuited and re-connect if necessary.
  • Speaker Count: Ensure the number of speaker cables matches the original car. If only 2 speaker cables are present, the original car line may not match the unit, requiring re-routing. One speaker needs 2 wires; two speakers need 4 wires.

13. No Sound After A While

  • Diagnosis: Disconnect all speaker cables from the unit. Connect an external speaker to the gray and purple wires of the tail line. If there is sound, the car's speaker line is short-circuited or the speaker is damaged. If there is no sound, the unit is faulty.
