3.1 Front and Rear Panel Overview

Familiarize yourself with the controls and connections:
- Front Panel:
- 3 Digital Meters: Displays output voltage (V) and current (A).
- Voltage Adjust Knob: Adjusts the output voltage.
- Noise Offset Knob: Adjusts noise level (volume control).
- Output Control Switch: Toggles between 13.8V fixed and adjustable voltage (ADJ).
- OUT- Terminal: Negative output terminal (black).
- OUT+ Terminal: Positive output terminal (red).
- ON/OFF Switch: Powers the unit on or off.
- Rear Panel:
- Cooling Fan: Thermally controlled fan for heat dissipation.
- FUSE: Input fuse for protection.
- AC Input Socket: For connecting the power cord.
3.2 Initial Connection
- Ensure the ON/OFF switch on the front panel is in the 'OFF' position.
- Connect the provided power cord to the AC Input Socket on the rear panel of the power supply.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable AC power outlet (110V US Plug or 220V EU Plug, depending on your model).
- Do not connect any load to the output terminals yet.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On and Off
- To power on the unit, flip the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position. The digital meters will illuminate and display the current output voltage and current.
- To power off the unit, flip the ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position.
4.2 Output Voltage Adjustment

The SPS-1332 offers two modes for output voltage:
- Fixed 13.8V: When the Output Control Switch is set to the '13.8V' position, the power supply will output a stable 13.8V DC.
- Adjustable 9.0V - 15.0V: When the Output Control Switch is set to the 'ADJ' position, you can adjust the output voltage between 9.0V and 15.0V using the 'Voltage Adjust' knob.
To adjust the voltage in ADJ mode:
- Turn the 'Voltage Adjust' knob clockwise to increase the voltage.
- Turn the 'Voltage Adjust' knob counter-clockwise to decrease the voltage.
- The digital display will show the current output voltage.
4.3 Connecting a Load
- Ensure the power supply is OFF before connecting any devices.
- Connect the positive lead of your device to the red OUT+ terminal and the negative lead to the black OUT- terminal.
- Verify that your device's voltage and current requirements are within the power supply's specifications.
- Once connected, power on the unit and adjust the voltage as needed.
4.4 Noise Offset
The 'Noise Offset' knob can be used to fine-tune the noise characteristics of the output, which can be beneficial for sensitive communication equipment. Adjust this knob as needed to minimize interference in your specific application.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Keep the unit clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Ensure the cooling fan on the rear panel is not obstructed. Adequate airflow is crucial for preventing overheating.
- Storage: Store the power supply in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Fuse Replacement: If the unit fails to power on, check the fuse on the rear panel. Replace it with a fuse of the same type and rating (220V 5A / 110V T8A).
6. Troubleshooting
- No Power:
- Check if the power cord is securely connected to both the unit and the wall outlet.
- Verify the wall outlet is functional.
- Check and replace the input fuse if blown.
- No Output Voltage/Current:
- Ensure the unit is powered on.
- Check if the output terminals are correctly connected to the load.
- If the unit is in ADJ mode, ensure the voltage knob is not set to minimum.
- Output Voltage/Current Fluctuates:
- Ensure connections are secure.
- Verify the load is not exceeding the power supply's maximum current rating (30A). The unit has automatic current limiting protection.
- Overheating:
- Ensure the cooling fan on the rear panel is not obstructed and is functioning.
- Do not operate the unit in an enclosed space without proper ventilation.
- Short-circuit Protection: The unit features short-circuit protection and automatic current limiting within 30A. If a short circuit occurs, the output will be cut off or limited to prevent damage. Disconnect the load, resolve the short circuit, and then restart the power supply.
