4. Setup Guide

4.1 Unpacking and Initial Placement

Carefully remove the machine and all accessories from the packaging. Place the machine on a stable, level surface in a well-ventilated area.

4.2 Software Installation

Insert the provided U Disk into your computer. Install the EZCAD2 software. If using Lightburn, ensure it is installed and configured for your machine.

4.3 Hardware Connection

  1. Connect the power supply to the machine and a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Connect the machine to your computer using the provided USB cable.
  3. If using the foot switch, connect it to the designated port on the machine.

4.4 Focusing

The machine requires proper focusing for optimal marking quality. Adjust the height of the laser head until the red pilot laser dots converge into a single, sharp point on the material surface. Refer to the software interface for focus assistance.

4.5 Optional Accessories Setup

  • Protective Cover: If you have the optional protective cover, install it according to its separate instructions to enclose the working area.
  • Rotation Axis: For marking cylindrical objects, attach the rotation axis to the work platform and connect it to the machine's rotary port. Configure the rotary settings in your marking software.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Marking Workflow

  1. Design: Create or import your design using EZCAD2 or Lightburn software.
  2. Positioning: Place the material on the work platform. Use the red pilot laser to preview the marking area and adjust the material position as needed. Positioning blocks can assist in repeatable placement.
  3. Focusing: Ensure the laser is correctly focused on the material surface (refer to Section 4.4).
  4. Parameter Settings: Adjust laser parameters (power, speed, frequency, pulse width) in the software based on the material and desired marking effect.
  5. Start Marking: Initiate the marking process from the software. Monitor the process, ensuring safety goggles are worn.

5.2 Material Compatibility

The Easymarker-FM1 is suitable for marking a wide range of materials, primarily metals and some non-metals. Examples include:

6. Maintenance

6.1 Routine Cleaning

  • Regularly clean the machine's exterior with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Ensure the work platform is free of debris and dust.

6.2 Lens Cleaning

Carefully clean the F-theta lens with a lens cleaning solution and a lint-free cloth to maintain optimal laser performance. Avoid touching the lens surface with bare hands.

Keep your EZCAD2 or Lightburn software updated to the latest version for best performance and compatibility.

7. Troubleshooting
