1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the ELECTERMI SX21 Wireless Lavalier Microphone. This product is a smart wireless microphone designed to provide professional-grade audio output for various applications. It offers a plug-and-play experience, eliminating the need for additional apps, and is compatible with a wide range of devices.

The SX21 is ideal for live broadcasts, video vlogging, interviews, general recording, and video teaching. The system includes one or two microphone transmitters, a receiver, and a portable charging case.

The microphone can be used in various ways: collar clip type, internal and external magnetic suction type, or neck hanging type.

3. Product Overview

The SX21 system includes:

  • Microphone Transmitter: Compact, clip-on design with power button and status indicators. Features 360-degree sound pickup and AI ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation).
  • Receiver: Plugs directly into your recording device (phone, camera, laptop, etc.). Available in Type-C, Lightning, or Camera interface types.
  • Charging Case: Provides portable charging and storage for the microphones and receiver. Features a digital display for battery levels.

4. Setup Instructions

The SX21 Wireless Microphone system is designed for automatic connection, requiring no complicated settings.

  1. Charge Devices: Ensure both the microphone transmitters and the charging case are sufficiently charged. The charging case has a digital display indicating its battery level.
  2. Power On Microphones: Open the charging case. Take out the microphone transmitters. Long press the power button on each microphone to turn it on. The blue indicator light on the microphone will flash slowly, indicating it is searching for a device to pair with.
  3. Connect Receiver: Take out the receiver and plug it directly into the appropriate port (Type-C, Lightning, or Camera) of your recording device (smartphone, laptop, camera, etc.).
  4. Automatic Pairing: The microphone and receiver will automatically pair. Once successfully paired, the blue indicator light on the microphone will turn solid (stop flashing).
  5. Ready to Use: Your SX21 Wireless Lavalier Microphone is now ready for use.

5. Operating Modes

The SX21 offers several modes to optimize your audio recording:

  • Normal Mode (Original Sound): This is the default mode upon pairing. The blue indicator light on the microphone is solid.
  • Noise Reduction Mode (AI ENC): Single-click the power button on the microphone. The red indicator light will turn on, indicating that the AI Environmental Noise Cancellation is active. This mode helps reduce background noise for clearer audio.
  • Reverb Noise Reduction Mode: Triple-click the power button on the microphone. The blue indicator light will flash slowly, indicating that the reverb noise reduction mode is active. This mode adds a reverb effect while also reducing noise.
  • Mute Mode: Double-click the power button on the microphone to mute it. Double-click again to unmute.

6. Charging

To charge your SX21 Wireless Lavalier Microphone system:

  • Microphones and Receiver: Place the microphone transmitters and receiver back into their designated slots in the charging case. They will begin charging automatically.
  • Charging Case: Connect the provided USB-A to USB-C charging cable to the charging port on the case and to a 5V-1A power adapter (not included). The digital display on the case will show the charging status and battery level.

Important: Only use a 5V-1A charger. Fast charging is NOT supported and may damage the device.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Microphone not pairing:
    • Ensure both the microphone and receiver are fully charged.
    • Make sure both devices are powered on.
    • Verify the receiver is correctly plugged into your recording device.
    • Ensure the microphone and receiver are within the 20m transmission range and there are no significant barriers.
    • Try restarting both the microphone and your recording device.
  • No sound or low volume:
    • Check the volume settings on your recording device.
    • Ensure the microphone is not in Mute Mode (double-click the power button to toggle).
    • Confirm the microphone is properly clipped and facing the sound source.
    • Test with a different recording application or device if possible.
  • Poor sound quality or interference:
    • Move away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, microwaves).
    • Ensure the microphone is not too far from the receiver.
    • Activate Noise Reduction Mode (single-click power button) if recording in a noisy environment.
    • Check for any physical obstructions between the microphone and receiver.

9. User Tips

  • For optimal performance, fully charge all components before initial use.
  • When recording, try to keep the microphone and receiver within a clear line of sight to minimize signal drops.
  • Experiment with the Noise Reduction and Reverb Noise Reduction modes to find the best audio quality for your specific recording environment.
  • The compact size makes it easy to carry; always store it in the charging case to protect it and keep it charged.

10. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the microphone transmitters, receiver, and charging case. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the devices in the charging case to protect them from dust and physical damage.
  • Avoid Moisture: Keep the device away from water and high humidity.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures (hot or cold).
