Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off
To power on the e-bike, press and hold the power button on the LCD display. Repeat to power off.

Battery Information and Charging
Battery Features
The DEEPOWER DP-A1 features a UL-listed 48V 20AH removable lithium battery. It has a humanized three-speed battery lock design for easy switching between unlocking, closing, and energizing.

Charging Procedure
- Ensure the e-bike is powered off.

- Connect the charger to the charging port, then plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
- The charger indicator light will typically show red during charging and turn green when fully charged.
- Charging time is approximately 4-7 hours.
- Do not overcharge the battery. Disconnect the charger once charging is complete.
- Charge the battery in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from flammable materials.
Note: The battery has an extra insurance policy for added peace of mind.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your e-bike.
- Cleaning: Clean your e-bike regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure water jets directly on electrical components.
- Lubrication: Lubricate the chain and other moving parts periodically with bicycle-specific lubricant.
- Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride. Maintain recommended pressure for optimal performance and safety. Inspect tires for wear and damage.
- Brakes: Regularly check brake pads for wear and replace them when necessary. Ensure brake levers are responsive and cables (if applicable) are not frayed.
- Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. If storing for extended periods, charge it to 50-70% and recharge every 1-2 months.
- Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and quick-release levers for tightness.
- Shock Absorption System: Inspect the front fork and seat cushion shock absorbers for proper function and any signs of damage.

Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| E-bike does not power on | Battery not charged, battery not properly seated/locked, loose electrical connection, power button issue. | Charge battery, ensure battery is correctly installed and locked, check connections, try pressing power button firmly. |
| Motor not assisting / no power | Low battery, pedal assist level set to zero, brake levers engaged, motor connection issue. | Check battery level, increase PAS level, ensure brake levers are fully released, check motor cable connection. |
| Brakes feel weak or spongy | Worn brake pads, air in hydraulic system, low fluid level. | Inspect and replace brake pads, bleed hydraulic system (professional service recommended), check fluid level. |
| Unusual noises during riding | Loose components, dry chain, rubbing brakes, motor issue. | Check all fasteners, lubricate chain, adjust brake calipers, if motor noise persists, contact support. |
