6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your peristaltic pump.

  • Tubing Inspection: Periodically inspect the pump tubing for any signs of wear, cracks, or degradation. Worn tubing can affect flow accuracy and lead to leaks.
  • Tubing Replacement: The pump head is designed for quick and easy replacement of the pump tube. Replace tubing as needed to maintain performance and prevent contamination.
  • Cleaning: Keep the pump head and external components clean. Use a damp cloth to wipe surfaces. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the plastic or electronic components.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the pump in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Kamoer KCM-B163-ODM pump, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Pump Not Starting:
    - Ensure the power adapter is correctly connected and supplying the correct voltage (24V).
    - Verify that the green Start/Stop button is pressed.
  • Incorrect Flow Rate:
    - Check the setting on the black speed control button/knob and the LED display. Adjust as necessary.
    - Inspect the tubing for any kinks, blockages, or damage that might restrict flow.
    - Ensure the liquid source is sufficient and the tubing is properly submerged.
  • No Flow:
    - Confirm that the tubing is correctly installed and securely connected to the pump head.
    - Check for air bubbles trapped in the tubing, which can prevent priming.
    - Ensure the liquid reservoir is not empty.
  • Unusual Noise:
    - Turn off the pump and inspect the pump head for any foreign objects.
    - Check the motor mounting for any loose screws or components.

8. User Tips

  • The Kamoer KCM-B163-ODM pump is noted for its super quiet operation.
  • Its flow rate is highly adjustable, typically ranging from 0.1 to 400ml/min depending on the specific tubing and model configuration.
  • Always consider the chemical compatibility of your liquid with the tubing material. For viscous or corrosive liquids, BPT tubing is highly recommended to ensure optimal performance and pump longevity.
  • For precise dosing, ensure the tubing is free from air bubbles and the liquid level in the source container is consistent.
