4.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection
Upon receiving your Retekess TH101, carefully open the package and verify all components are present and undamaged. Refer to the 'Package Contents' section above.
4.2 Installing Battery in SOS Button
The SOS call button requires a 12V/23A battery. To install:
- Gently open the back cover of the SOS button.
- Insert the 12V/23A battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the back cover securely.
4.3 Plugging in the Receiver
The receiver is a plug-in unit. Simply plug it into a standard electrical outlet (90-260V) in a central location where the alert can be easily heard by the caregiver. Ensure the plug type (EU/US/UK) matches your region.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Initiating an Alert
To send an alert, simply press the red 'SOS' button on the transmitter. The receiver will sound the selected melody and flash its LED indicator.

5.2 Adjusting Volume
The receiver has 4 levels of adjustable volume. Use the volume control buttons on the side of the receiver to increase or decrease the sound level to your preference.

5.3 Changing Melodies
The receiver offers 52 different music styles. Use the 'backward' and 'forward' buttons on the side of the receiver to cycle through the available melodies and select your preferred alert sound.

6. Pairing Transmitter and Receiver
The Retekess TH101 system is typically pre-paired at the factory. If you need to re-pair or add additional SOS buttons, follow these general steps:
- Plug in the receiver.
- Press and hold the 'Volume' button on the receiver for a few seconds until the LED indicator starts flashing rapidly, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- Within 5 seconds, press the SOS button on the transmitter. The receiver should emit a sound or flash slowly to confirm successful pairing.
- Test the connection by pressing the SOS button again.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Battery Replacement (SOS Button)
When the SOS button's indicator light no longer flashes or the signal range decreases significantly, it's time to replace the 12V/23A battery. Follow the steps in section 4.2 to replace the battery.
7.2 Cleaning
Wipe the receiver and SOS button with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the units in water. While the SOS button is IP55 waterproof, it is not designed for submersion.

8. Troubleshooting
- No alert when SOS button is pressed:
- Check if the receiver is properly plugged into a power outlet.
- Ensure the SOS button battery is installed correctly and not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Verify that the SOS button and receiver are paired (refer to Section 6).
- Check if the distance between the SOS button and receiver is within the effective range (80-100m in open air). Walls and other obstacles can reduce the range.
- Alert sound is too low or too loud:
- Adjust the volume using the buttons on the side of the receiver (refer to Section 5.2).
- Unwanted alerts:
- Ensure the SOS button is not being accidentally pressed.

9. User Tips
- Battery Life: To maximize battery life for the SOS button, avoid unnecessary presses. Regularly test the button to ensure it's functioning, but don't overdo it.
- Placement: Place the receiver in a central location where the alert can be heard clearly throughout the intended area. Consider placing additional receivers if covering a large home or multiple floors.
- Accessibility: Ensure the SOS button is always accessible to the person needing assistance. The included lanyard allows it to be worn around the neck, or it can be kept in a pocket or by the bedside.
