6. Setup

6.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the device.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 4 x 1.5V AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

6.2 SD Card Insertion

  1. Locate the SD card slot on the device.
  2. Gently insert the provided 4GB SD card into the slot until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, press the SD card gently to eject it.

6.3 Attaching the Drop Resistance Rope

Attach the drop resistance rope to the designated loop on the camera body to prevent accidental drops during use.

7. Operation

7.1 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button (location not specified, assume standard placement) to turn the device on or off.

7.2 Basic Thermal Imaging

Once powered on, the device will display a real-time thermal image on the 2.4-inch screen. The central point cursor will indicate the temperature at the center of the view.

7.3 Adjusting Settings (MENU)

Press the MENU button to access various settings, including:

  • Unit Adjustment: Change temperature units (e.g., Celsius, Fahrenheit).
  • Language: Select your preferred language.
  • Date Time Format: Set the date and time display format.
  • Automatic Shut Down: Configure the auto power-off time (default is 12 minutes).

Use the navigation buttons to scroll through options and the SELECT/ENTER button to confirm.

7.4 Vision Options and Image Blending

The HT-02 offers 5 kinds of vision options, allowing you to blend visible and infrared images. This feature helps in quickly identifying the problem area by overlaying thermal data onto a visual representation of the scene.

7.5 Image Storage

Thermal images are automatically saved to the inserted 4GB SD card in BMP format. Refer to the device's on-screen prompts or menu options for specific saving procedures (e.g., a dedicated capture button or menu option).

7.6 Palette Selection

Choose from various color palettes to visualize thermal data, including Iron red, rainbow, rainbow high contrast, gray scale (white glow), and gray scale (black glow). This can enhance the visibility of temperature differences for different applications.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the device body with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For the lens and screen, use a lens cleaning cloth and a specialized cleaning solution if necessary. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.

8.2 Battery Care

  • Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Replace all four AA batteries simultaneously.

8.3 SD Card Management

  • Regularly transfer images from the SD card to a computer to free up space and back up your data.
  • Format the SD card periodically using the device's menu option (if available) or a computer to maintain optimal performance.
