Setup and Assembly Instructions
This filing cabinet is supplied flat-packed and requires assembly. Follow these general steps. Refer to the detailed assembly diagram included in your package for specific part identification and fastening instructions.
- Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Identify all panels, shelves, and hardware against the parts list in your assembly diagram.
- Assemble the Frame: Begin by attaching the side panels to the bottom panel, followed by the top panel. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Install Back Panel: Secure the back panel to the assembled frame.
- Install Shelf Supports: Insert the shelf clips or supports into the desired slots on the inner side panels. The cabinet offers 5 compartments with 4 individually adjustable shelves.
- Place Shelves: Carefully place the adjustable shelves onto the installed supports. You can adjust their height as needed to accommodate different item sizes.
- Attach Doors: Mount the two doors to the cabinet frame using the provided hinges. Ensure they open and close smoothly.
- Install Lock Mechanism: Install the lock mechanism into one of the doors as per the diagram. Test the lock with the provided keys.
- Secure to Wall (Anti-Toppling): Position the assembled cabinet in its final location. Using the two pre-drilled holes on the back of the cabinet, securely fix it to a solid wall using appropriate wall anchors and screws (provided). This step is crucial for safety.

Operating Instructions
- Opening/Closing Doors: Gently pull the handle to open the doors. Push them firmly to close.
- Locking/Unlocking: Insert one of the provided keys into the lock on the door. Turn the key to lock or unlock the cabinet. Remove the key after locking to ensure security.
- Adjusting Shelves: To adjust a shelf, first remove all items from it. Carefully lift the shelf and remove the shelf clips/supports from their current slots. Reinsert the clips into the desired new slots, ensuring they are level and secure, then place the shelf back.
- Storage: Utilize the five compartments to organize your files, documents, and office supplies. Distribute weight evenly across the shelves to maintain stability.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the cabinet surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as they may damage the powder-coated finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary.
- Anti-Toppling Device: Regularly inspect the wall-mounting hardware to ensure it is still securely attached to the wall and the cabinet.
- Lock Care: If the lock mechanism becomes stiff, a small amount of graphite lubricant can be applied to the keyhole.
Troubleshooting
- Doors not closing properly: Check if the cabinet is level. Ensure hinges are properly aligned and tightened. Verify that no items inside are obstructing the doors.
- Shelves are wobbly: Ensure shelf clips are fully inserted into the slots and are supporting the shelf evenly. Check that the cabinet itself is stable and level.
- Lock is stiff or not working: Ensure the key is fully inserted. Try applying a small amount of graphite lubricant to the keyhole. If the issue persists, inspect the lock mechanism for any obstructions or damage.
- Cabinet feels unstable: Double-check that the anti-toppling device is correctly installed and securely fastened to a solid wall. Ensure all assembly screws are tightened.
User Tips
- For optimal organization, consider using file folders, binders, or storage boxes within the cabinet.
- Label your shelves or compartments to quickly locate stored items.
- When adjusting shelves, plan your layout in advance to minimize the need for frequent changes.
